I’m an ardent fan of the Taj. But this place is a serious disappointment. It’s not just an improvement that’s required but a complete re-invention. There’s perpetually any difference between a decent baker & this place.Service, that’s gone down by far many levels too. The tea & coffee too is far below any standards. For a company that ushers tea & coffee plantations, this is a bad joke. Slowly but gradually I see a decline. Taj for me, will however always be my preferred choice, but for just this it averages my considerations.

Carmel is a cake shop in Vivanta By Taj Blue Diamond. It is at the entrance of the hotel. The ambience is wonderful. No wait time, quite quick service. It serves fresh bread, pastries, cakes, snacks etc. I always wanted to taste their Aloo Mutter Samosa. I asked for 4 piece of Samosa to take away. Surprisingly, I got an answer that they just prepared 2 piece of Samosa & it will take 20 minutes to freshly prepare & serve another 2 piece. Along with Aloo Mutter Samosa I also bought Chocolate Croissant.Aloo Mutter Samosa was good in taste but Chocolate Croissant was amazingly delicious & yummy. It was quite soft & it’s just melted in my mouth.Overall I would like to try their other offerings! Cost wise, it’s on higher side! basantsekhani.wordpress.com
Taj seriously need to upgrade the cake shop.. Hardly any options.. We ordered Red velvet cake trust me it was very sad and was quite disappointing. Given extra 1 point for the service which was good as per 5 star standard
