I was here with friends yesterday for brunch. The ambience is very pleasant. There’s indoor and outdoor seating and both offer very interesting surroundings. The indoor seating has quirky vibe with lot of interesting facts printed on papers and framed hanging from the ceiling. Staff are very polite and friendly. They were very courteous throughout. We ordered a bunch of dishes, mushroom flatbread, wild mushroom risotto, nachos, french fries, Kung pao cottage cheese steak, tomato spaghetti. Food was delicious and the portions were large. Definitely a must visit.
An all day outlet which has small portions and would allow one to spend the entire day trying new things. On taste buds it’s milder to blanc taste non spicy dishes. Must try appetizers are Champagne mushrooms, chicken cubin. They have a variety of beers too and some dry ice smoke cocktails. Ambience and service is good! Their mini burgers are a must have too. Not a place if your looking for some medium to spice menu. A must try place for a lot of new cuisines
Sunday night, the ambiance looked good from the outside, hence we decided to try The Daily All Day. Little did we know that there’s a huge disappointment waiting for us.We ordered pulled pork sliders, nachos and two drinks.Drinks were average to be honest. Nothing to talk about there.Food:1. Nachos: Rule of thumb is that if a food joint messes up a basic dish like nachos, chances are that other food items won’t be good either. And it was a disaster here. The nachos were not really nachos, they were some thin wafers (papad with jeera tbh) with no taste of nacho whatsoever. To make it even worse, they poured the salsa, kidney beans and the sour cream on the top of it making it soggy. It resembled a papdi chat albeit way less tasty. The first few papads (I refuse to call them nachos) were easy to lift. 1 minute later, we had to use spoon and fork to eat it like a chat. Worst nacho I’ve ever had in my life. Try at your own risk.2. Pulled pork sliders: this one came with some fries. Fries were average, nothing to talk about that. The 4 pieces of sliders were again disappointing. No taste of pork whatsoever and it was way way way too SWEET. one dimensional taste with a ketchup like sweet taste overpowering the whole dish. We were 3 people. After having one each, no one was willing to finish off the last remaining one. It was that bad. Sorry if i sound rude but we finally divided the last one because food shouldn’t be wasted. So stay away from this dish.I had originally decided to order the ramen, but after this experience we decided against it.Ambiance:The place has a simple likeable ambiance (reason for one extra star), good seating places. But if you’re averse to cigarette smoke, you won’t appreciate the lack of a non-smoking area. There was a live band performing inside so if you’re sitting outside you can’t enjoy it. And if you’re inside, it’s too loud and suffocating. Phew! What a dilemma.Service:The restaurant is clearly understaffed. The waiters have good intention but they’re unable to provide you enough attention or classy behaviour. E.g. We had to stand and wave at waiters for a good 5 mins to get someone to take our orders. Same to get the bill. Behaviour wise, they’re not rude but they don’t care if they throw your credit card or simply take away menus and chairs without asking. I can understand that they were overworked and cared less about basic hospitality etiquette. Won’t blame the waiters but the management can take notice and make amends.Crowd:Mostly people drinking and smoking. I really wonder what they were eating with their drinks because our food was poor. Drink wise too I’m curious what people are drinking because our drinks were average.
