Located on the Mumbai Ahmedabad highway this place serves pretty good kathiyawadi food. Location and the interior environment of the hotel are perfect as if you feel you are actually sitting in the village for eating food. A good place to visit with family. You can sit inside the restaurant or there is also a garden restaurant which has cots made of ropes where you can sit and have your food.We had ordered the normal food items such as Chinese as well as the Kathiyawadi food items. First coming to the normal food items the Manchurian tasted just as it should be and these guys also took care to not add any capsicum to it as we had instructed. The fried rice also tasted good. It was perfectly good and contained a lot of veggies.Now coming to the kathiyawadi food, The stuffed brinjal tasted nice and you could feel a taste of all those Indian spices and flavors in it. Even the stuffed Bhindi was good and it was stuffed with a mixture of spices and chana dal. The rotis were also served hot and fresh. All in all the food tasted good and the restaurant maintained cleanliness.But there are also few issues with the restaurant. First is that there is traveling issue and if you don’t own a vehicle or something like that it is difficult to find a means of transport from this restaurant because it is in the middle of the Mumbai Ahmedabad Highway. Also if you visit here at night you might find bugs and insects around the restaurant which sometimes irks you while having food.

Even zomato has removed the pic which I had uploaded for the comparison you guys can check on google I had uploaded there
Waltain hotel is a pure veg Kathiyawadi cuisine restaurant on the western express highway. My friends had been there and suggested I go here if I’m in the mood for some Gujrati or Kathiyawadi food. Whe returning from a trip, we ended up going here and ordered a couple of items. The stuffed green chilles or Bharela Marcha are well known here but when it arrived, the besan masala inside was stale, we asked the waiter to taste it as well as take it back. Good thing was he agreed that it’s gone bad and also they didnt charge us for this.Moong masala had more of gravy and less moong. The rotis were very very dry. Had to sip chaas or water in between to even gulp it down. Aloo mutter was very okayish, potatoes a bit hard. Only good thing i liked were the dal and rice and chaas. Hope they improve on their taste as been hearing good reviews about thid place.
Located on the Western Express Highway after the Vasai Creek Bridge, its easily noticeable. The board says Kathiyawadi food and as me n my family love Kathiyawadi food we thought of giving this a try one fine day.The property is very huge and there is a dhaba style seating as well as regular seating. The Ac section opens in the evening.We ordered Moong Masala, Bharela Marcha, Baingan Bharta and Rotis. The food was really really good here.Moong Masala had that typical smoky taste of a dhaba and was a tad bit spicy. Loved it.Same goes with baingan bharta, smoky flavor, baingan cooked well.Bharela Marcha or stuffed Green Chillies is Kathiyawadi special item which is my favorite. They use less spicy version of the chillies and stuff it with besan mixture and shallow fried.We used to love going here but lately the food is becoming more of North Indian than Gujrati or Kathiyawadi. Taste has changed a lot. Hope they revive their original taste.
Location – At Western express highway. Left side if moving from bhayandar to vasai.Ambience – A perfect place to chill with friends, family.Sitting arrangements are simple yet nice.Play zone for kids is another plus point for me to plan my visit again here.Food – a good range of dishes. kathiyawadi food , Punjabi, chinese.Food that we had :Khichiya papad – nicely roasted with good toppings, just the way I like ☺️Sing chat – a must try, groundnut tossed with onions, tomatoes, & some special spice.Starters – Paneer chilly, Veg Manchurian, Veg crispy,all starters were good in taste.Main course – Paneer Tikka masala, Lasaniya aloo, veg makhanwala, sev tomato. All the sabzi’s were good in taste with sufficient quantity.Imp thing to mention is they do serve jain food as well.
