I have ordered twice from Madras Idly and I must admit that the food tasted great. I also liked the portion of idli and wada. Usually it’s 2 per plate here we get 3. I think that is very satisfying and makes it pocket friendly. I wasn’t happy with the size/portion of Uthappa but taste was above standards.Talking about Sambar and Chutney, I feel overall taste can be improved. I mean at some places I even eat Sambar and chutney alone. So the taste is okayish. Not bad.I’d like to give 3.5 based on my experience.I haven’t tried much from the menu as I am little skeptical about the outcome. But I’ll try different dishes soon.
Being a fan of South Indian cuisine I am constantly in lookout for places serving authentic south Indian food. When I got to know about this place open in our locality I visited today with my father for breakfast and we were positively surprised with the genuine taste this place offers. We had Masala Dosa, Ghee Podi Dosa, Vada and Podi Idli. Finished with perfect filter coffee. Each item was really good.Taste of Sambar was awesome ( authentic Tamil Nadu Sambar) and the coconut chutney was also very nice. Equally good was the care and warmth with which we were served. All in all a must try for south Indian food lovers in the area.
Peanut butter dosa and Badam Milk -a decent choice as per price could be peanut butter dosa and Badam Milk for health concious people . Dosa comes with good quality of peanut butter and two types of chatnis + a decent amount of sambar with good taste as per people like me who prefer less spicy , simple food . Badam milk was also ok as per the price . Ordered this combination thrice .. quality was maintained and instructions were followed so I appreciate that . 🙂
Visited Madras Idlys at Kamothe recently.I dined there first time and also started ordering many items in the menu as home parcels . First to say the restaurant proves its worth by flavour and taste of South Indian Idlys,Vadas,and Dosa s as it should be. A special mention to Dal vadas and Dosa. Lingering taste as you eat tempting for another round of order to enjoy the taste. Side dishes like variety of chatnis and sambar very tasteful . experience the Real good and class preparations. Clean surroundings. Courteous public response. Deserves hearty appreciation
The South Indian and homely taste is guaranteed here. The owners are very courteous and accept customisations. Extremely good taste and experience. Would love to try many times in future.
Really had a awesome breakfast today. Orders for podi cheese dosa and masal dosa. The taste of sambar was excellent, chutney was good. Especially the podi was fantastic. Remember my mothers sambar taste. Must try if u really like a traditional south Indian food .
