For those who love southern culture, it’s an apt place to be in. Great interior and ambience. Service is a bit slow. Staff is courteous. Chicken tawa fry was in their specials the day I visited their Kalyani Branch. It was very well spiced. I had Malabar veg curry with appam, parotta and Kerala ghee rice. Everything was cooked to perfection. Also, do ask for recommendation from the staff before you order.

Kerela cafe can be easily mistaken as a bunglow from the outside. As u enter the facility one will take a culture trip to the southern alleys with huge wall drawings. The aroma of food pulls u to the first floor open air seating. The ambience eye catchy and service unmatched. Of all the places i must have eaten(and trust me i eat a lot outside) i think kerela cafe can be rated as number one for its service. We were alloted the best seats in the house which made me realli happy. The specials read pineapple coconut margeritta which kept me drooling.Made to perfection and presentation was eyecatchy. The lemon corriander soup was again the best i must have ever had. The consistency/quantity amazing. Corriander aroma amazing. Everything amazing. The malabar chicken lollipops were fried to perfection. It was surprising to see onions on the side considering the high market price of onions lately made me realise kerala cafe makes no compromises when it comes to customer satisfaction.Next was the mutton meal.I am going to end up all my superlatives in this review. Again the best thali i must have ever tasted. The mutton sukka and mutton gravy both lip smacking. The sambhar flavoursome. The veggies the kadhi the paysam everything perfect. Served with unlimited red rice which we ate till we couldnt move. We also ordered appams which were not included in the thali. We end our meal not with a dessert but with a one by two filter coffee which was complimentry when i told the staff i was going to review their place on zomato.Special mention for JAIDUL ISLAM who caught my eyes with his service and who also clicked a few pictures for us.At kerala cafe you will surely experience the taste of malabar.

Had an experience here. The food , ambience were amazing, service was quick and staff were friendly. We tried the prawn starter , surmai curry and fried surmai for main. Also tried the appam which was really soft .The food was really well spiced and good in quantity. For dessert we ordered tender coconut icecream which was good but I’m not a fan. Overall loved the place and will definitely come back soon.

After hearing about this place from a couple of my friends I decided to visit the Kalyani Nagar branch. The ambience did not let me down as it had positive vibes and was quite huge. It was appropriately lit and had a very comfy seating. We had a prawn starter which was amazing. The taste was out of the world and had the right mix of spices. For main course we had kaho sue chicken which was not good at all. The gravy was bland and had not salt too. Huge disappointment. Then we ordered chicken Chettinad which was ok and better than the previous chicken that we ordered. The kerela Parathas are nice and filling( size is big enough). All points for the ambience and prawns. Be careful while ordering chicken and don’t ask the waiters for suggestions.

Everyone loves good South Indian meal but we thought of exploring other dishes apart from regular Sambar Idli and Dosa. Here is what we had at Kerala cafe:Orange delight: To start off with drinks, we had this mocktail which had dominant orange flavour and tasted amazing. Peach mojito: Perfect for all the mojito lovers, peach made it taste a little sweeter. Appetisers- Squid Pan dry: If you are a fan of seafood then this is the perfect appetizer for you. – Chicken ghee Roast: Subtle flavours and ghee made the chicken taste amazing. – Potato 65: For vegetarians, this was on a lighter side and we loved it. – Mushroom Curry Leaves Fry: Another impressive vegetarian appetizer. .For the main course, we had Chicken bamboo biryani and they were delicious. Make sure you eat them while they are still hot. .For desserts, we tried Mango Payasam, Jaggery coconut custard and Jackfruit ice cream. We especially liked Mango Payasam. myfoodumbrella.com
