La FiestaNestled right in the middle of the food hub in Viman Nagar is the newly opened La Fiesta. Fiesta means celebration and La Fiesta offers you a promise of celebration with food and drinks and for a foodie it can’t get better than that! Looking all festive in red, yellow and green hues with some beautiful art on the walls you are set on the mood for a good time. Occupying prime spot on their menu is some #mexican delicacies, although they do cater to an exhaustive choice in South East Asian and Indian Cuisines. We were welcomed by a drink called Mock Rosewine which is a concoction of Raspberry, Mint and Sprite. A little too sweet for my taste it’s a refreshing drink nonetheless. A switched to a Virgin Mojito which is one of my favorite drinks and they got it just right and to my liking. They do provide a bowl of Nachos with a lovely Salsa dip on all tables as nibbles. From the Menu we tasted a bit from all the cuisines on offer. In their Mexican Fare you can choose from #Tacos, #Quesadillas or #Burritos. The Non-Veg option remains pretty much the same in all the dishes as Chilli Con Carne Chicken. Chicken cooked with a mildly spiced chilli sauce which would be encased in either the Softshell Taco or the Corn Tortilla. In vegetarian fare you could have a stuffing of sauteed vegetables or Paneer. Their Mexican Fare is worth a try. Next we tried dishes from their other cuisines which were more to my liking. We had:#FishFingers: A #crowdpuller and favorite among the masses this dish was a winner served with a lovely sauce. #Recommended#IndonesianChickenSatay: Skewered chicken slathered with a lovely peanut sauce and served with a bean sprout salad and spicy sauce this dish is #highlyrecommended. #BlackPepperChickenWings: Chicken wings fried and then tossed in a delectable black pepper sauce which is spicy and tangy and tickles the taste buds. #FingerLickingGood#WasabiPrawns with #PineappleSalsa: When you hear #Wasabi, what it invokes is a bit to the nose and head. The prawns were cooked beautifully but the Wasabi lacked the punch. We did give a feedback and they provided another portion with more Wasabi which was #SpotOn. Served with a lovely Chilli Pineapple Salsa to complement the Wasabi. #MustTryFor Main Course we had: Veg #HandPulled #Noodles: This dish was all about subtle flavours. Noodles cooked perfectly and topped with Spring Onion Greens and Beans Sprouts. This dish is not for those looking for a flavour burst. #ChickenBiryani: Another subtle dish lacking the masla burst of a #Biryani, nonetheless cooked well and quite flavourful. The restaurant was not serving any desserts during the lunch hour so we were unable to try those. La Fiesta is new to the food scene in Pune and does have a few teething problems they need to wean out. With some #TLC they can sure leave a stamp and work wonders!
La Fiesta – the new kid in the block is all about Eat, Drink and be MERRY!!!The interiors are heavily influenced by the rich, vibrant and colorful culture of Mexico. Spread across two floors this place is quite spacious with an eclectic mix of furniture. The food menu here is a blend of Mexican, Indian, Asian not to forget the Pub Grubs. They have an extensive bar menu with loads of happening offers too.We started with the refreshing Rose wine mocktail. With mint, rasberry and sprite this was #gudtogo.Than came the nachos- crispy tortilla chips with ajwain n pepper served along with Pico de Gallo. These munchy delights are just what you need for the nip in the air.The Black Pepper Chicken wings was just #ambrosial. Cooked in buttery pepper sauce with loads of garlic packed quite a punch. Fish fingers – crumb coated, this one was juicy and crispy. With the mustard mayo dip just perfect.#forthemassesIndonesian Chicken Satay was a nice mix of sweet, sour, spicy n crunchy. Along with the peanut sauce and bean sprouts this one is a #stunner.Quesadilla – Corn tortilla stuffed with rich pinto beans and melted cheese reminded me of rajma stuffed parathas. #dilsedesiWasabi prawns with the pineapple salsa was the #showstopper. The plump prawns were addictive. The slight hit of the wasabi was toned down by the sweetness of the pineapple salsa. #musttryThe Chili Corn carne Chicken Wrap is a humongous one which is a #heartymeal in itself.#scrumptiousThe hand Pulled noodles were #mindblowing. A simple no-nonsense dish. The bean sprouts and spring onions pepped up the dish. The chicken biryani served here is light and #appetising As there were no desserts we ended with an energizer. A nice mix of mango n pineapple juice, basil and vanilla icecream. This one was quite heavy on the stomach. Kids will love this. La fiesta is all about celebrating LIFE over food and drinks. To top it they have awesome offers throughout the week. My weekend is sorted. What about yours??
#mixedreviewLa Fiesta – new addition, serving Mexican, North Indian, Asian food with a full-fledged bar, location next to Dino and Duggy’s & Irani café, Turning Point. If you have noticed there are maximum number of pubs/bars .. ..old and new mushrooming in the saturated area of Viman Nagar. If you have something exciting, different, pocket friendly and tickling the youth for sure you’re going to be a crowd puller and jingle jingle goes the cash counter !!This place is Uber cool, vibrant with colorful furniture, seating at two levels. A well stocked bar.. sadly didn’t match up with the food and mocktails served. The welcome drink served was refreshing. #Rosewine mocktail with mint, rasberry and Sprite.#Wasabi_Prawns_with_pineapple_salsa : Small crispy prawns in minimal element of Wasabi Chillies. Need more Wasabi please!#Indonesian_Chicken_Satay : Taste bang on perfect… lost out as chicken was hard and chewy.#Chillie_Carne_Chicken_Tacos and Veg_Taco : Mexican preparation with corn, beans, greens and the other one with chicken. Fresh ingredients used, spices perfected, creamy cheese. The tacos were soft. With the weight on the taco it was difficult handling and eating. Need to work on firmer taco shells.#Quesadillas : Mexican corn tortilla wrapped in pinto beans and oozingly cheesey!#Fish_fingers : Crisp Crisp coating…dip into mayo, one bite! Tasted awesome!#Nachos with salsa dip : Both were not fresh.#Black_Pepper_Chicken_wings : Peppy peppery and garlicky chicken wi, done well and out right delish!#Hand_Pulled_Noodles : Star dish ! Brilliant ! Loved it!#Chicken_Biryani : Pulao made spicy, ghee and really good! Raita was complimenting with the taste.#Tropical_Tornado : Red bull, lime, mint, Tabasco and pineapple crush. Watery and mild. A no-no for me.
