Unwind is a very nice cafe in Mundhwa, and I love the open seating and rooftop ambience. The arrangement is very breazy and cool.I loved the garlic bread and shahi paneer. Good options are the burgers here and host of Indian food options as well.There’s a bar and the best part is the live screening and music nights.Definitely go there, the staff is also courteous and good experience.

Unwind is very true to its name. This place has a beautiful ambience and very prompt service. The menu also has lot of variety from indian food to asian , continental etc. They have sandwich , burger , pasta , noodles to roti sabzi and so on. Well we had mushroom trio looked lovely and tasted wow. We had roti and panner sabzi all was upto the mark. Will def come back to try the vast menu.
This amazing place is one of the finest places to go in Mundhwa. With some great music, low key lighting this place is great to hang out with your friends. My recent visit here was great in terms of both food & vibes.With some amazing dishes viz. Murgh Zafrani, Lemon Chicken, Crispy lotus stem, Tricolor mushroom, Kofta dil ki khushi, hot peri peri paneer etc. it was total deliciousness. Crispy lotus was really great. Let me Unwind this place for you guys,I would like to start with a conclusion, for you to decide whether to visit the place or no. And if you deciding going anyways, you can go through the detailed review.1. We had a booking from Dineouts’ GIRF, offering 50% off on the total bill. Still we found the place pretty expensive.2. The Parking is pretty expensive 50 bucks for a two wheeler.3. The Food in spite of being expensive is only average in taste.4. I personally didn’t like the sitting available for couples.5. And we were told that Dineout bookings are given sits on the 1st floor level only, which was quite absurd.So, a detailed review!Paid 50 bucks for parking. We started walking towards the place and we couldn’t find the entry, finally we could with the help of a watchmen.At the entry, we paid 1000 bucks, a redeemable cover for a couple. My hopes with the place were now higher than when I left home. Now at the entry we were told that we will have to sit upstairs as the ground sitting is been occupied for a Private party, which will end in like 15 mins. Thereafter we may be able to shift and could enjoy the live singing performance. We were cool with it went upstairs. The sitting for two were only in the middle portion and no corner sitting was available. But somehow we talked the waiter out to let us sit on the table of 6 as the view from that seat was better. We ordered some fries and mocktails so that we could shift when the performance start. It didn’t start for next 45 mins or so. And when it finally started we were given an absurd reason that we cannot go and sit downstairs because we had a booking from Dineout.Coming over to the taste of food..————————————-* Fries with Jalapeno cheese sauce – The fries gave a good first impression of the place, they were good in taste, a little hot may have been great. The Jalapeno cheese sauce really gave them a unique taste.* Virgin Pina Colada – Pina Colada also was well prepped. * Unwind Magic – This is a mocktail from their menu which I won’t recommend at all. The taste was like a cheap Fruti. It gave us the company till the end of our dinner.* Crispy Vegetable, Hot Garlic Sauce – We went for a starter, veg crispy. It took too long a time to come, but we were okay with it as we were waiting for the performance to start. Finally it came only to spoil the mood more. It was more of a Cauliflower Crispy rather then Veg. Crispy. Not only that but the Cauliflower tasted too bad. But I didn’t want it to go waste and had as much as I could.* Paneer Khada Masala Veg. – The waiter said this is nothing but Paneer tikka masala. The taste was like any hotel you would visit randomly.* Whole Wheat Roti & Magadh ki Naan – The roti and naan were a bit on a better side.* Jeera Rice – The Rice was well cooked too.Lets jump to the service..—————————-* The person serving us from start to end really did put great efforts for the service. He was also almost successful in convincing the other guy to shift us downstairs. If not for that guy I would have said the service was bad as well.Coming to Ambience.. ————————-* The ambience is quite worked on, but what good is it for, if you won’t let public to sit where they want. Also the dance floor was later occupied by the private party people or either they don’t have one, and that sucks if you ask for a cover. * No good sitting available for two at least upstairs.If you still would want to visit, I hope that these things should not happen to you and do share your experience.Few things for the restaurant to improve are ;1. Parking fees.2. Stop the cover thing.3. Let the customer sit wherever he/she wants, if you have a empty seat.4. Improve a bit on the taste.
So we booked via GIRF, we got 50% off on total bill.. so it must be pretty much on budget right? No!1. Its very expensive. A pint of beer cost at 400.2. Food is average and less in quantity.3. Service is slow.4. They levied me forceful service charge for 500.I had a good time until the bill arrived.
We had considered visiting the place since they had a singer performing. Unfortunately the singer was the only good part about the place. They had a Rs. 1,000 cover per person. I believe that is so that people coming should at least spend that much in a visit. The review is unedited.The worst place and highly overpriced for the kind of service offered.The place offers the best privacy from waiters that they would not come to the table even with multiple attempts to call them. On the waiters pushed me on his way to serve another table and ignored it as if it never even happened.Vegetables and Tofu Noodle (1.5) – the noodles were well tossed but horribly served. One may have to dig in the pot to find the vegitables. Good part was that the noodles were not tossed in the typical sauces giving it a pleasant and fresh taste. I felt bad for the tofu. Boxed in a fries hollow covering, scrambled tofu seemed to have been accidentally dropped in it.Caprese pizza (0) – Oh boy! The worst pizza one could even have. It tasted only like tomatoes. And pizza was definitely ultra thin and under baked. Thin slices of tomatoes were very carefully placed and counted to be less that the number of slices being served. The base sauce was missing and I doubt the restaurant has been introduced with maranara sauce. Absolutely tasteless and beyond recovery with extra flakes and herbs.Creamy Pesto Pasta (0.5) – Extremly creamy and dull tasting pasta which only daunted a pale green color of pesto. Absolutely no vegetables which, I believe, is the base to any pasta. One can only try looking for walnuts or its flavor in the dish. I believe they could place a price if anybody does find that (and never have to give out the price money). Half a point is because they at least served well boiled penne pasta.Paneer chilli (0) – One could have only hoped this to have been a good dish. The outer coating which gives the real taste to the dish was used at it’s minimum. I could not have thought of having this dish with ketchup (in an attempt to not have raw paneer) but that might have been a thicker layer than the marination.The food is so bad that I may not even have it for free. Serving average and below average tasting food in a fancy plate is what is being charged for. There is heavy cost cutting process being used on food. I suppose either the management need to consider changing the head chef or the owners need to consider changing the management and the head chef.They do not tinker with the ingredients even if request for. I think they are not sure if that is the only ingredient they had planned to serve the dish with or that the dish might accidentally taste better.The DJ is horrible. The songs are over mixed to the extent of it being boring.The fastest thing they did during the almost 3 hours I spent at the place was shut down and treat the guest as flocks of sheep while asking us to leave.The parking is Rs. 100 and valet is Rs. 400. And this is for open parking of a size of half a football field. Either they have highly qualified professionals parking the car for me, or they do not have an understanding of the value of money.Overall I would suggest to not waste your time and money at this place. Unwind should consider winding up.
