Wasabi 15 is a cafe located in KP that serves good Korean/Japanese cuisines. It’s a new place with great ambience with indoors as well as outdoor seatings spaces. The interiors are quite catchy. Coming to the food-Their Korean and Japanese dishes have a bit of Indian touch to it but yet they taste amazing. The only drawback is that you might not get that authenticity of Korean/Japanese food.To begin with -I had the Matcha Latte which was amazingly good, optimum in sweetness.Breakfast dish-Rolled OmeletteThis had chicken sausages rolled in omelette with baked beans in some sweetish sauce which added to this dish the right kinda juiciness. I loved this dish. Then in starters -*The Chicken wings: They were nicely prepared and tossed in Hunan Sauce which made it sweet and tangy at the same time. The portions were really good.*Wasabi Cottage Cheese: Deep fried cottage cheese with wasabi mayo sauce topped with pineapple salsa. Well this dish could have been a lot better with good amount of mayo as it didn’t contribute that well. The combination with pineapple salsa went well.Other Dishes-* Pork Ribs: Tasted very good. Not authentic may be but with a slight Indian touch it tasted really Good. And Perfectly cooked as well!!* Katsu Ramyum: This was basically the Korean Ramen. The katsu tasted very good but the broth was too subtle.*Katsu Sando: This dish was a Katsu Sandwhich. I personally loved the combo and tasted really yummy!! Definitely Recommend this one.* Nasi Goreng Kampung: This is basically rice prepared with prawns along with a half fry and chicken skews. For hard core prawn lovers this is the dish!!! The flavours of the prawns had gone down to the rice so well. It was fantastic!* Chicken Bao: Tasted very good but could have done better id presented well and neat.* Sushi : I had four of them.1) California Sushi roll (veg)2) Cracking spinach sushi roll3) Classic prawns tempuratempura4) Salmon sushiAll tasted fine and the sushi rice was cooked well. My favorite amongst them is the cracking spinach one as it really has a cracking effect on the outside and moist inside. The gentle sweetness in it makes it taste really good till the end!Desserts-Pancakes with Vanilla Ice cream:Tasted good and the ice cream was really creamy!White Chocolate cinnamon roll:The chocolate roll was very chewy that is what i didn’t like but its combo with mango salsa was good.Overall this place has a lot of good food korean/ Japanese. Offcourse being a new place they have some things to improve but I’ll definitely recommend to try this out!

The new kid on the North Main Road block, Wasabi 15 is an approachable take on pan-asian food. They have some interesting menu entities like gimbap (kimbap) and ramyun (basically the Korean versions of sushi and ramen) which are not a bad effort at all! Fair portions and flavour is certainly not lacking.Dimsums could stand to be more inspired. The baos are alright too. I enjoyed the doughnut & chocolate milkshake, it would definitely make a cranky child happy! The place is cozy, chill and has some very ‘grammable’ spots. Indoor and outdoor seating. It’s a ‘would appeal to most palates’ restaurant.. And you’ve got Huber & Holly and Theobroma right next door if you’ve still got the munchies!

After a lot of anticipation, I made my way to this new spot in KP with a friend for lunch last Saturday. We ordered the following:•Hunan Vegetables Wonton Soup – The soup by itself was good but the wonton was hard and over-fried.•Shitaki Black Pepper Bao – I don’t understand how or why there’s mayonnaise in my freaking bao!!!? It was terrible.•Veg Khao Suey – The only edible bit of the lot that we ordered.•Banana Katsu – Nothing about this was right. It just was a disastrous desert. The server was kind enough to give us extra ice-cream. We still couldn’t go beyond half of one banana between two of us.I really don’t think I that I will go here again. I am a little afraid to be let down by the food and service again. The restaurant is nice and open. Servers need to be a little more courteous.
