If youre looking for Authentic maharashtrian food. Head to this place. Simple but great, the owner gives great food suggestions and the food is fresh and made with utmost homely feeling. Try their Chicken handi, Rice bharkri and Wade. Lonavla visitors, a spot to stop guys.
Excellent food. Great host. The prawns fry, surmai fry and the fish curry rice is a definite order here. The thecha is the best I have had so far. The food is cooked by a group of ladies who know the authentic recipes on the menu.

Ok.. looking at people’s reviews, looks like people pretty much liked the place.For me it was like so so. After tasting the typical maharastrian food, i realized that i am nt quite maharashtriyan food fan. The place was quite beautiful which attracted our attention while returning frm there to pune. But food was too spicy. I tried eating food but gave up.Yes, try masala papad there, that was yumm.@
When we decided to stop here for lunch on our way to Pune; we really did not think much of it. Place looked pretty charming & the menu was justifiably pricey. We decided to stick to the basics & ordered their Special Veg Thali, Jawla Fry & Chhach. While waiting for the food, we realized this place was so airy, it did not have a fan & we did not miss it at all. When the food arrived, we realized why the price was on the higher side. The quantity & variety in their thali was humongous. Safe to say, it’s enough for two people. Usually, with this much variety, barely one or two items turn out to be good. But this is not one of those places. all the items were good & the Modak was exceptional. Long after the food was over, we kept sitting there, enjoying the fresh wind coming from all directions; while ordering one glass of Chhach after another. Yes, it was that refreshing. Mummy’s Homely Food does perfect justice to it’s name; for the taste of the food can really bring back memories of home.
