Ordered kaju modak and got Mango flavored kandi modak shaped pedhe. Called the outlet and person on the other side asked me what do you mean by kaju modak. Kaju modak are like this. No one makes #Kaju #Modak made out of Kaju. I mean, why even sell kaju modak when you don’t even know what it means? I replied by kaju modak I mean modak like pedhe made of dessicated kaju (cashews). We get authentic kaju modak all around our place. To my horror, the person replied nahi, nahi. Amchyakade asech kaju modak miltat. Tyat mawa ani thoda kaju asto (No. Our version of #Kajumodak means a delicacy made out of mawa and a tiny bit cashews). I actually paid for kaju modak and got kandi pedhe delivered!P. S.
