Having booked a 2 night stay at Zara’s, we had least expected anything on the food part. Having being travelled and in no mood to go out for a meal, we ordered from their restaurant. And boy-o-boy, the food was lipsmackingly delicious! It was made to order, fresh and yumm. We couldn’t stop ourselves from reordering more food. Chicken lollypop (4.5/5) – Amazingly crisp and delicious. Schezwan chutney served with it was good too.Chicken lasooni kebabs(5/5) – Perfectly cooked to have soft meat with char on the outside. Marination and flavour to die for. Something that only a elite mughlai restaurant would churn out. We least expected to have such great kebabs at a resort restaurant.Chicken biryani (3.5/5) – Quantity was huge for a half biryani. Taste was just okay.Veg Manchurian (4/5) – Well made. Right blend of flavours.Veg Hakka noodles(3/5) – average Indian Chinese. Decent taste. Less quantity. They also make great South Indian breakfast items. VFM: At less than 1.5k for all the above, it can’t be any more value for money.Ambiance: Though it’s not bad. The dining room is clean, pretty spacious and the wood and glass decor is great. However, there’s no mood that the place would create.Overall, it’s a great place for a good food. If staying at the resort, ask the manager for specials and don’t miss a meal.
It’s a restaurant within Zara’s resort.Ambience is decent, compact but spacious enough.Service is decent.Food: Average food. Had ordered chicken reshmi Tikka and chicken handi. Quantity was a below average. Taste was decent but all main course items on the menu here are served with less salt.Average pricing.Overall 3 on 5. Not too good but not bad as well..
Rani Rasoi is the restaurant of the Zara Resort. The resort is nestled in lush meadows of Lonavala and has a dual seating arrangements – Alfresco and indoor dining. During the monsoon the sight is majestic and it seems one is dining within the clouds. The menu here is compact with North Indian and Chinese dishes to offer. We were able to have dinner on two consecutive days while breakfast on one. We tried quite a few options on the menu. The best item on their menu is Veg. Seekh Kebab. Tender and spicy, each morsel just melts in your mouth while the mint chutney is fantastic combination with it. Overall a decent experience only qualm being very late in service. PS.- Dated review. had somehow forgotten to review it instantly.
Very slow service. The food is also not great.Tjey take much time that by the time it arrives, you have lost interest in it.If there is some other party going on at the same time then there is no guarantee that you will even get it.Had a very bad experience. We ordered just soup and one starter and after 40 min the waiter said he is busy and asked us to take the buffet instead
Good Food.Zara is all about a serene yet fun-filled stay. The surrounding green spaces and the 50 rooms in their embrace are a picture of peace. Walk the length of the verandahs, feast your eyes on the flowers and enjoy the sound of silence. Recharge yourself. Forget the noise and chaos of the city that you just left behind. Spend time with your loved ones and let them know how much they mean to you by showering them with the luxury that resort offers.
Highly recommend the onion bhaiyaaa here! Loved it..veg food was great..Chinese was passable and could have been better..but that doesnt take anything away from north indian veg food..Aprma Kumar Anand
