A cafe in salunke Vihar road next reliance mart. The cafe has inside and outside section both. Nice ambience, serving herbal Hookas as well. Christmas time was lucky to enjoy some live music as well. What I had Mocktails Blueberry lime soda Spritzer Ginger Ale after taste was awesome very refreshingPaneer Shawarma well cooked & good taste brownie points for the green chutney served with it it was really good. Paneer Tikka biryani Sizzling Brownie with vanilla ice cream & strawberry something different but good.Over all a good experience, nice place to hang out with. Food is nice, portion size is decent enough. Worth the visit.
Small cafe nestled right on the busy road next to a food mart is hard to miss. The entrance is marked by some bright red signage attracting you to it. The place certainly appears small but has an outside, shade sitting area as well as comfortable air conditioning sitting too. The interiors are vibrant with graffiti, photos and a world atlas wall paper. The visit, though our first, was overall a good experience, except the service aspect. We started with and unsweetened Ginger ale which was truly well made. Aftertaste of ginger was coming out through and through. Along with it, we had blueberry lime soda spritzer. Well combined, flavourful drink. The starters we ordered were, chicken shawarma roll and a paneer shawarma roll. Both were tender, well spiced, perfectly cooked and combined with sauces and pickled onions, they were delicious. Then we went and ordered their sizzlers, a new introduction on their menu. We ordered a chicken and stirred noodles sizzler and a chicken and mushroom sizzler. Both sizzlers were done good. Chicken perfectly done in both. The noodles served in one of them, were actually more tastier than the rice served with the chicken mushroom sizzler. They also have a well made chicken tikka and tandoori chicken platter. Must try here. We finished the meal with paneer tikka ‘biryani’. Thev masala in this was flavourful, but the tikka needed little work and some seasoning too. The dessert was the staple, goovy, sizzling brownie with ice cream, topped with strawberry. One can’t go wrong in this. Nice place to visit, which also has a hookah on demand, and live music performance on select week days.
This place is in my neighborhood and is a quirky cafe..They not just serve burgers and pizzas but you can actually have a 5 course meal over there. They have starters, soups, dessers, main course, sides and many many more dishes to select from.Taste is really good and you can also play table games like jenga, pictionary so that you dont have to wait after placing your order. They also serve hookkah✌️

Taste 4/5Ambience 4.5/5Service 5/5Price 4/5The most noticeable thing at Country Roads would be its bright & colourful interiors, so well planned & beautifully executed. You will find a huge painting of a Golden Retriever in the middle of the restaurant – as the restaurant owner is fond of Dogs and if you are lucky, you’ll find his pet Bruno at the restaurant!Though it’s a small sweet place but the ambience would nullify any lags if you are able to find one. ;)Now let’s talk about the food, we were a bunch of people who were treated with loads & loads of delicacies starting with the following:Beverages:1. Pineapple juice – Refreshing as it’s colour!2. Choco Chip Shake – Oh what a delight it was to see that huge chocolate glass loaded with creamy choco foam & choco chips!3. Kesar Badam Shake – As sleek as it looked, it was that sleek to gulp it all the way – Sweeter side!4. Turkish Coffee – I didn’t taste this one but it looked so royal at my table. ;)Starters:1. Veg Crostini Sandwich – Toasted bun bread with cheese, assorted vegetables & olive toppings! I just wished the bread to be a little thin to enjoy the topping completely.2. Veg Exotica Pizza – I liked the flavour of this pizza topping, so cheesy & yummilicious, they can work a little on the crust.3. Tunde Kebab – Why go to Lucknow, when you can have these authentic Tunde Kebab right here! Perfectly cooked and well fried kebabs served with coriander chutney & rotis. A complete meal you can say but we considered it to be an appetizer! Loved it :)4. Malai Kebab – You can unsurprisingly guess the name of this dish when its being served to you! White tender & scrumptious chicken pieces marinated so well that it was so satisfying to our taste buds. You place a bite of malai chicken in your mouth & it vanishes in a click ;)5. Chicken Shawarma – This was more like a chicken frankie as it was no where close to an Arabian Shawarma! If you take it to be a frankie, it was nice. Good chicken & veggie filling wrapped inside a kubbus roti.Main Course:1. Pink Pasta – I would love to visit the restaurant again and again for this so very tasty pasta! Most of the restaurants fail when it comes to delivering pasta as it turns out to be so bland. But the pasta served here had on point texture, flavour & presentation. The creamy sauce & a slight herbilicious taste took this dish to some other level. Definitely recommended!
Country Roads Cafe, Wanowrie (Salunkhe Vihar road)The place is absolutely beautiful and cozy, with loads of character. Comfy sofas, bright warm lighting, loads of wall hangings, quotes, a huge world map and most importantly, a colourful painting of their golden retriever, Bruno. Whom you can meet at the cafe, if he’s not asleep! The outside seating though, is simple and unassuming. The place isn’t luxurious, but a really nice place to be. The amazing music, classic rock and hits from my college days (which always helps) as well as the occasional live music, just adding a whole lot in the ‘feel’ of the place. The food is simple and non-pretentious, with something for everybody. This place is perfect for college kids and youngsters, but the young at heart will enjoy this place as well. There is a mix of Indian, a bit of Indo-Chinese, pizzas, pastas and range of shakes, teas and coffees. The food isn’t super refined or exclusive, but very simple typical food we all crave once in a while. Given the pricing, it’s pretty much perfect.DRINKS – We tried the Chocolate Chip Shake and Kesar-Badam Frappe which were so good. Creamy, frothy and tasty. The Pineapple juice was refreshing but we were intrigued by a coffee called ‘Turkish Delight’. But it was neither the Turkish candy not the strong black Turkish Coffee. It was more like instant coffee with loads of drinking chocolate. People who like instant coffee will enjoy this, but the name is confusing.SNACKSVeg Crostini Sandwich – An amazing open sandwich full of cheese, bell peppers, jalapenos. Basically like a pizza sandwich. Really good.Olio Veg Exotica Pizza – Quite good. The base, in house made, was a bit hard and thick. If it was thinner I think it would have been great. The toppings were were full of videsi vegetables, topped with loads of cheese. But there was like a spiced mayo as well, which didn’t taste that great and no tomato sauce was in sight. This was like a very typical college cafe pizza, enjoyable, but not exceptional. Pink Pasta – Simple as that! Penne in a typical pink sauce, with loads of vegetables and herbs, so it had loads of flavour. Nothing authentic, but cheesy, creamy, tasty and satisfying.Chicken Shawarma – This wasn’t that good. The chicken wasn’t flavourful nor smokey and it was just mixed with mayo and vegetables inside a Khaboos. It was more like a Chicken Mayo wrap. This needs work, especially considering the massive competition for excellent shawarma’s in the area.NON-VEG STARTERSTunday Kabab was a surprise and were really good! They weren’t super authentic, I think (I haven’t had the original so I don’t know), but the flavour was amazing, they were soft on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside with mild spices and great texture. They tasted great with the naan. Ketchup on the side was a bit disappointing, would have loved some minty green chutney.Chicken Malai Kebab – Classic, creamy, subtle and smokey, topped with cheese. Not the juiciest, but really nice, and the accompanying sweet raita was great too.MAINS – The Indian mains blew us away.Butter Chicken – Really amazing, this. Not sweet, rich gravy, buttery with a great flavour of whole spices. I would rate this as one of the better Butter Chicken’s of Pune.Mughlai Paneer – Another smash hit. Mildly spiced onion based gravy full of garam masala and richness of cream and butter. Really soul satisfying curry. DESSERTThe Sizzling Brownie with ice cream was quite nice. The Shahi Tukda does need some work. It was served at room temperature and just lacked flavour. It had all the elements in theory but somehow just didn’t taste great. VERDICTI think despite it’s flaws, Country Roads is an excellent cafe and restaurant to hang out. The food is simple and typical cafe fare, but really tasty and satisfying to have. The Indian food is just incredible. The pricing especially, makes it totally worth it. It is the perfect spot of college goers, youngsters and, like I’ve said, young at heart! Service does need work, as they are understaffed and it was quite slow. It is one of those places that in spite of having shortcomings, you still like a lot and enjoy..
Recommend : Coffee , Dal Makhni , Missi Roti , Veg Handi Nice cafe with good ambience. They have board games to play. Main course offered is also good but portions are small.
