Falah’s is a small pretty restaurant located in nibm the place serves indian curries and rolls with good flavours and quantity, the place has kept affordable prices for students as well as working people, the menu of the place is simple which will give you a good homely meal and just satisfy your stomach and will give a good flavours.Coming on to the food which i tried here:1)CHICKEN TIKKA:This was perfectly marinated chicken tikka, the chicken was soft and well cooked and the flavours were deep inside the chicken, this dish turned out to be really good.2)GRILL CHICKEN:This was huge portion of chicken marinated in curd, red chilly and then grilled in tandoor, the marination was done really well, and the chicken was very nicely cooked.3)CHICKEN SEEKH KEBAB rolYl:This was minced chicken seekh stuffed in a roti with chilly sauce and mayo, the chilly sauce and mayo combined well and gave a good direction to roll.4)MUTTON MASALA:This was onion based gravy with succulent mutton pieces, the gravy was sweet because of excess of onions which didn’t gave a good flavour.5)CHICKEN BIRYANI:This was simple chicken biryani with spices and well cooked pieces of chicken, the biryani was fluffy and gave a good flavour, the garam masala was dominant in biryani, a good biryani to eat at this place.

INTRODUCTIONThis is café like place located at Brahma Majestic in Kondhawa Pune. The places serve North Indian Food, Rolls and some Kebabs. The ambience of the place is simple not so fancy just simple wooden tables. This place is inits starting phase.FOODAPPETIZERSChicken TikkaThis tikka was a typical style cooked chicken tikka which was marinated with red chilli powder some curd and ginger garlic paste. This was cooked on the charcoal heat and served with some green chutney and some green salad. The chicken was marinated nice. It was bit hard to cut into small piece and a bit hard to eat. I would love if it was more tender.Chicken Malai TikkaThis was the less spiced kebab. It was marinated in black pepper and some ginger garlic paste and the charred in the tandoor. This was also bit hard to cut down and bit chewy. More tenderness to kebab would make it more delightful. Also It had a lemony citrus taste to it which dint go well with the margination I felt.Grill ChickenThis was great appetizer in all of them. Quarter portion of chicken marinated for a good amount of time and then grilled in the tandoor. The chicken was marinated in some curd red chilli powder, some turmeric and ginger garlic paste. This was juicy and tender. The chicken was cooked till bone. It was having a good flavor of margination to.ROLLSChicken Seekh Kebab RollThis was roll made with chicken seekh kebab into it. The roti of the roll was of maida. The chicken seekh was having nice taste to it. The mince of the chicken was fine and was cooked well. The roll was having chilli sauce and some mayo with onions into it. I felt the chilli sauce killed the flavor of the chicken seekh kebab. Using green chutney rather than the red chilli sauce would make it more tastier.Paneer RollThis roll was made from the Paneer tikka and having some onions and ketchup. This was having more tangy taste to it due to the sauce in it. The paneer was cooked perfect. Roll was not as oily as I was expecting to be.MAINSButter ChickenButter chicken is one of the famous north Indian dish. It was a nice thick tomato based curry. They had added lots of cream which made it more creamy and over powered the tangy taste of the gravy. The chicken was cooked perfectly. It was tender and juicy. It had a strong flavor of the kasuri metthi which gave a bit bitter after taste to the gravy.Mutton MasalaThis was an onion based gravy. This was thick gravy having some garam masala taste to it. They used a lots of onion to the base as when the onions are sautéed they release a sweet taste which was over powering the whole gravy. If it was more spicy then it would be more tasty to eat. The mutton was nicely cooked and was tender.Chicken BiryaniThis was home style cooked chicken Biryani. On the presentation side I felt they should use long grain rice rather than the shorter once. The chicken was cooked along with masala made of garam masala and onions. It lacked the spicy punch which we usually like in biryani. The rice and chicken were well cooked. Overall a decent biryani.VERDICTThis place is newly open place and has lots of potential to grow. There are small thing here and there which can be easily corrected by the chef. Overall it’s a decent place serving good food. I noticed one thing that they maintain a very good hygiene. hungrysoulsumedh.wordpress.com

If you’re from Pune then you know when you hear NIBM or Kondhwa name the meat affair comes on your mind. Those areas are famous for serving some great kebabs and rolls. I’ve recently been to Falah’s which serves some limited menu but has lots of potentials to become one of the best in the area. The owner has more than 10 restaurants out of India and he entered an Indian food scene with this little one as the Indian specifically Pune food market is pretty volatile. The shop is small with 7-8 tables and the seating arrangement is okayish not that great. It’s more of a delivery joint rather than dine-in kind of.It’s just opened a week or two ago so they definitely not in their 100 % form but they’re learning and getting into it.I’ve tried the following things -Chicken tikka and Chicken Malai Tikka – Both tikkas were good but could’ve been better. The size of the tikkas was huge and because of the weather, it became a bit hard. The chicken tikka had great flavors and it was on point, whereas the Malai one was more on the sweeter side and it had a slightly lemony, tangy taste which I didn’t get.2. Rolls – The rolls were pretty good. We had chicken tikka roll, mutton seekh rolls, and Paneer tikka roll. Mutton seekh kebab was on point, soft juicy and full of flavors. It was combined with mayonnaise and chili sauce which I think wasn’t necessary. The chicken one was equally good but again the tomato sauce made it look weirder in my view.3. Biryani – The biryani you get here doesn’t have that much masala to it but the rice was cooked perfectly and it didn’t taste dry at all. I love such kinds of Biryanis which are not overflowing with masala still does the job.4. Mutton masala and Butter chicken – The butter chicken we had here was creamier than I expected also it had an intense flavor of kasundi methi which I find excessive. Whereas mutton masala was good which had medium-thick onion based gravy.Overall Verdict – My experience at Falah’s was good. As I said they’ve started recently so they need a lot of practice to make it perfect. I’ve suggested some changes to the owner and he took it in a positive manner.
