Visited the newly opened Break Room at Clover Mall, NIBM. Nicely done up and good vibes.We had Fish & Chips, Chilli Cheese Khari, Kasundi Prawns, Butter Garlic Prawns and Rice crusted Fish. The only downside would be that the Fish was Basa and most of the dishes came cold / luke warm to the table. They must have been sitting in the kitchen for a while. The Sangria was enjoyable.

Recommend : Methi Murg Makai Tikka , Tamarind Tinko Potato , Masala Peanuts , Chicken Bokani , Kulcha combos of Mix Veg , Panner and Butter ChickenNice place to dine out with friends and family. Popcorn box is sever complimentary on each table as an accompaniment for your drinks. Rooftop is good and space is ample enough to accommodate large groups. Food tastes great. Try out their Kulcha combos. Finger food is good but service is bit slow.
Clover Hill Plaza has become a one stop destination in NIBM and it’s latest entrant is one of the most exciting. The Break Room has opened their second branch in Pune and it’s basically party central. Amazing understated but fun ambiance, with great music, open airy feel and amazing pumping music. They have live band performances many times a week as well. Really one of the most fun places there. It is helped by the fact that they have really amazing drinks and very different and delicious food.DRINKS – I had the bartender’s special, a whiskey cocktail, really refreshing, with sweetness from cranberry juice and zing from lemon and orange. The whiskey is lit up before poring into the cocktail making it quite a spectacle and the drink is properly potent. The Mocktails are amazing too, I tried the Watermelon Mint Cooler, which was super refreshing.FOOD – Starters – They have delicious crisp Pop Corn on every table and that itself is the perfect start to your experience.Spiked Pani Puri – Absolutely fun and funky dish, perfect to get your party started. Really crispy, with amazing spiced potato filling and sweet and tangy pani spiked with vodka! So delicious and fun!Chilli Cheese Khari – This was the best dishes of the day, for me! Crispy, buttery and flaky khari, topped generously with cheese, chilli and garlic. It is so good and such a fun dish to eat!Warm Highway Chaat – This is an excellent spicy and tangy chaat with peanuts, onion, tomato, lettuce etc. So chatpata and fun. Bringing street food to a whole new level!Prawns Kasundi – Prawns with a mild hit of mustard. It is really delicious and I could munch on them the whole day. I would have loved a stronger hit of mustard, but others might not be such a big fan of that. Also I would have loved the prawns to be a bit more juicy.Tandoori Prawns – As I told the chef the prawns weren’t juicy, he whipped up some delicious spicy and juicy Tandoori Prawns for me and gave me a huge helping of mustard sauce for good measure! And trust me, these were just incredible!Ghee Roast Chicken Tacos – Unfortunately this didn’t work for me fully. They were quite good tacos, but the classic ghee roast flavour was missing and was overall on the drier side. A few tweaks and this could be a winner.Haleem Ke Kebab – Really different dish, I’ve never had anything like this before. Soft kebabs of starchy, meaty and stringy haleem. The flavour was really close to haleem but in a totally different form factor. One note for the restaurant – The staff suggested this dish to me but kept calling it Haleem. It really confused me and it would, anybody, as I was expecting proper haleem. They should call it what it is.MAINS – Chicken Bhuna with Butter Garlic Naan – Wow! Such a good curry! I was floored. Even after tasting so any starters, I thoroughly enjoyed this and had a little too much of this. Amazing onion based curry, medium spiced, but perfectly balanced and flavoured with whole spices. Topped with loads of fried caramelised onions. One of the best soul satisfying curries I’ve had recently.DESSERT – Suterfeni Kunaffa – Kunaffa is a traditional Middle Eastern dessert, which here is fused brilliantly with stringy crispy suterfeni. So crispy and crunchy on the outside with a gooey and creamy centre. Topped with sugar rose syrup and loads of pistachios. Absolutely satisfying and very different dessert. VERDICT – I think this is an absolutely amazing new restaurant and has made NIBM a lot more exciting. Their food is very different and innovative, while at the same time being really delicious and well thought out. The prices for the drinks are a touch on the higher side, but the quality is just great while being tasty and potent. The food, is definitely very well priced. The music can get a bit loud, especially in the inner section, so I wouldn’t go there for a quiet contemplative meal, but for everything else, it is perfect.
What’s lovely – Ambiance and LIIT ; Recommended dishes – Tamarind tinka potatoes, masala peanuts, pesto paneer tikka; Not bad – Gobhi Manchurian, cheese chilli kulchas ; Never try – Any kind of pasta ! ; A word about staff – Courteous and Humble. Offered us a replacement pasta with the taste we wanted (It still was no good though) ; Music – Live on Sunday ! You might also see some college folks dancing on late 90s slow music. Great for a script if you are a budding stand up comedian 😉 ; Something disappointing – The menu and Bill had different prices for the drinks. They probably gave us an old menu by mistake. Edit I visited again on a Wednesday and had a bitter bad service experience. Most of the drinks and dishes were unavailable and they cared to inform about it never earlier then 20 minutes. Whatever was available was too slow to reach us.
Its a good place for sunday brunch specially when it comes to ambience this place eats the limelight this place has got the vibe and specially great food yes the service is slow but considerable because the place is new they can improve it but staff was nice i would like to mention ashish good service overall yes i recommend this place
