A Major Disappointment after a very long time.I usually check reviews on zomato before visiting any restaurant and it helps me most of the time and always gives me a good experience but this being a new place so did not have much review so thought of giving it a try just to get disappointed.During Ramzan season a visit to Kausar Baug is must inorder to try different varieties of Kababs placed outside restaurants. After trying lots of varieties of Kabab at RC Kitchen, We decided to visit Tum Tam Dhaba which is located opposite RC Kitchen.° Ambience -> It had a proper Dhaba type ambience with lot of plastic chairs and tables and since it’s a Ramzan season they had placed the tables outside as well.° Service -> Since they had limited variety in Starters, Mains and Desserts and most of the food being already ready, The food came to our table quickly but I am not happy with the Staff’s suggestions on must have food of them and each item he suggested was nothing but a complete disappointment. Felt like I wasted my money on something which was not worth.° Food -> I expected that since they serve limited variety of food so the taste might be amazing but it turned out to be a big disappointment. We tried Chicken Alfam for starters and Chicken Changezi, Roti for Mains.• Chicken Alfam -> As suggested by the staff it was their Speciality but it was nothing but an extremely burnt Tandoori Chicken. As soon as the Steward placed it on my table I asked him what’s this? It’s completely burnt how do you expect me to have this and his response was Sir tandoori aise hi hota hai itna jala hua. A big no for this one.• Chicken Changezi -> It was nothing but a sweet watery chicken gravy with uncooked chicken pieces and did not feel anything special about it. I had tried this in one place during last Ramzan and it was too good so keeping that in mind ordered it here but felt bad on my decision after having it.• Roti – Their Rotis are bit unique then what we get in other restaurants. Nice, fluffy and bit sweeter but tastes good.I personally did not have a good experience here. It might be a bad day for me but will I give it one more chance? It’s a No because I did not find anything special about the place and there are lot of better restaurants in the locality which serves much better food and service at much less price.
Finally tried the Iftaar treats at Kausar Bagh. Well, I must say it’s totally worth the hype.Kausar Bagh can be called a well lit happy street serving lots of food with love. A street full of delicacies and aromas. One place that made me super happy called Tum Tam which is hidden at the end of the street. The helpers were super generous and served everything with love and a huge smile. They have proper place to sit and eat . Tried their:Kali Miri Chicken & Nalli nyahari with Tandoori roti , Chicken and mutton both were perfectly tender with lots of ghee in the gravy and roti somewhat like kulcha.. We also had Chicken Biryani which also very well cooked .. Definitely something to die for!And ended the meal with Tum Tam special Shahi tukda and Phirni which was perfectly sweet, a must try! Loved the experience.
