During my brief stay at Kopar Khairane,I was lucky to come across this sweet shop one fine evening while I was returning home from work. They had the usual regular snacks- the Shingara(Samosa) and Veg Chop.The Shingara was a typical one with a slight sweetness and peanuts in the mix. The range of sweets available is also decent,ranging from dry sweets to the syrupy ones like Roshogollas and Chomchoms.I had one question for them and I was elated with their answer. They did serve Radhaballavi and Aloo’r Dum for breakfast on weekend mornings. So had tried out that as well one Sunday morning. The Radhaballavis were decent in size and taste while the Aloo’r Dum had a mild tinge of spice, and it is to be noted that the aloo wasn’t peeled.
We got shondesh and roshogulla from NM. A bengal sweet shop. Nicely made with sweetness of jaggery. We loved it. It was not very sweet like sugar. Nice and subtle taste. A must try place.
