Ample seating area with outdoor hang out place.I went for* citrus blast mocktail and it was soothing yet amazing fresh orange juice based good to go with any starter.* Spicy paneer served hot with fresh onions and basil it was spicy kick with delicious flavour to it* Pepperoni pizza was baked good with balanced flavor & taste* veg burger was nicely made also it was perfectly cooked loved itIt was an amazing experience for us and will give a visit again

Nicely located place with beautiful ambiance.Well i hadCosmopolitan cocktail- made to perfection just gives a kick of vodka when took a sip enjoyed having it.Smoked chicken – absolutely delicious chicken nicely smoked gives a perfect texture on chicken good to go with drinksMutton burger – well they made it an amazing burger melted cheese with caramelised onions on top perfect burger.It was an amazing day for us and definitely an amazing treat we had.

I was pretty much impressed at first glance of this place. An absolute cozy property situated in Kothrud. Well in recent past Kothrud is becoming a go to spot with such amazing restaurants and cafes.Bungalow 424 is a new 3 story dining restaurant, it can accommodate around 150 customers at a time. The terrace has nice and cozy open air seating with artificial lawn.My friends enjoyed the drinks pretty much. As far as my opinion is concerned, unfortunately I wasn’t well at that point of time so didn’t indulge in any drink actually. But to my rescue there was Hot Toddy in the bar menu. And I decided to give it a try. It was hat water based brandy drink mixed with star anise and cinnamon. It was pretty comforting actually. Good for me :)Talking about food -Beet & Orange Salad : The salad was basically consisting of slow cooked beatroot and orange segments with creamy goat cheese served along with crunchy lettuce. The presentation could have been better along with the quantity of the salad . As from price point of view I found the quantity pretty less.Chicken Pop Corn and Wedges : A perfect bar snack, the chicken popcorn were crunchy from outside and juicy from the inside.Bungalow Tree : Tandoori malai broccoli. Nice and subtle flavors. The broccoli stems were pretty hard also the plating was bit childish with random tomato ketchup lines all across the plate which resulted an overall let down.Kurdish Mutton Kebab : A bit stiff texture which actually I was hoping for tender and juicy texture actually by the look of it. Nevertheless the taste was good enough.Smoked Salmon Pizza : This was by far the best dish we tried in the menu. The pizza crust was simply perfect and the smokey salmon was absolutely fantastic. The flavors of topping were complimenting each other lile those capers gave nice spur hot with the smokey salmon and fresh rocket leaves. This one is a must try!Chicken Massaman Curry : A one bowl meal. With jasmin rice and hot curry poured in along with fresh lettuce on the side. The chicken was cooked nicely but the overall curry taste was not balanced. As the turmeric was overpowering all the other flavors of the curry. Hope, they will work on it.Chocolate fondant : It was bit disappointed as it was supposed to be a center filled with gooey decadent chocolate. Rather it was very dry and all cooked chocolate cake that too wasn’t of that great chocolatey taste. :(Overall the experience was mixed one with fre hits and misses. We were told that they had unexpected rush on Sunday night and that made some things go off the court.Hopefully they will pick up the pace very soon and will work on the feedback which we have given to them directly on the spot. Nothing makes me happier than a new and exciting restaurant in Kothrud Especially one with really exciting and different cuisine, wonderful cocktails and an ambiance so beautiful, it instantly makes you happy. Opened where the once legendary Asian Melange was, they’ve transformed the same building into a cozy haven. The terrace, especially is so charming and delightful, turning any average night into something special.DRINKS – Meet Your Match-ah was an absolutely effervescent cocktail, creamy, hint of vanilla with wonderful matcha green tea flavour and spiked with vodka. But due to the overabundance of crushed ice, it was too dilute on the top and strong on the bottom, which needs to be fixed. I got almost no flavour until I reached the bottom.Whiskey Chai Sour, is a twist on the classic whiskey sour, one of my most favourite cocktails. But unfortunately, this did not work for me. The tartness and bitterness of tea along with whiskey, just overpowered the drink. It needs a more balanced flavour with some zestiness / tanginess and a hint of sweetness.The Cinnamon Smoke, though, blew my mind! The beautiful combination of sweet, hint of tanginess and the absolutely fascinating smokiness and cinnamony goodness stole my heart.STARTERSBeet & Orange Salad – An utterly beautiful plate, bright crimson beets, orange slices, along with tangy – creamy goat’s cheese and some olive oil – balsamic festooned lettuce. The combination was fantastic but it did leave me wanting for more, the quantity seemed a but less.Chicken Pop Corn and Wedges – A completely morish and appetizing basket of crispy salty treats. Both the chicken pops an wedges were super delicious. The creamy mustard dip, especially, was out of the world.Bungalow Tree – A really delicious Broccoli kebab, but rather childishly plated. But that doesn’t take away from the favours. It was a bit tough but the crunch, the creamy subtle sauce and incredible smokiness, especially from the burnt olive dust was just incredible. The plating though,, needs to be improved and the tough stems need to be either subtracted or cooked better.Kurdish Mutton Kebab – Subtly spiced minced mutton kebabs with crunchy bulgur adding amazing texture. It had an almost lamb sausage like flavour, which I simply adored. Though, having a softer and juicier core, would have improved it massively. Smoked Salmon Pizza – This was a masterpiece. Thin, smokey and crispy base topped with delicate and juicy tomato sauce, whole lotta gooey cheese, ridiculously delicious and high quality smoked salmon and salty tangy capers. Simple, minimalistic and absolutely masterful. The most delicious dish of the day, hands down. I’m craving it as I write this. Frankly, I started craving it the moment I finished my last bite. Pasta – Amazingyl simple but delicious white sauce pasta, with zucchini, bell peppers and topped with a touch of black pepper. Loved it, the al dente penne and the creamy sauce along with the pesto garlic bread was really satisfying.MAINS – Chicken Massaman Curry – This unfortunately wasn’t that great, very overpowered with turmeric. The other South East Asian flavours of lemongrass, ginger, chilli etc were nowhere to be found and the chicken, though well cooked, wasn’t favoured by the curry at all, almost felt as if it was added as an after-thought. The quantity, too, was not very generous.DESSERT – Chocolate fondant was a decent dessert. A bit dry and unfortunately, the gooey chocolate centre too had solidified. The taste was quite decent, but nothing to write home about. Note – We were told by the restaurant that due to the sudden unexpected rush on Sunday night, the kitchen got a bit flustered, which may have led to a few dishes not being upto mark.VERDICT – Overall I think it’s a great place. Beautiful and really the kind you feel special in. The food and drinks were a bit hit or miss. But they’re a new restaurant and I want to give them a second chance, as things I liked showed real quality and potential. They are still finding their feet in this tough industry and I’m confident they will get consistent with experience.One thing I do want them to improve on is portion size. The prices are value for money for sure, but a little more quantity would really make the food feel much more substantial. Right now, you have to order a starter / salad and a mains for each person, for a full meal. Which is fine, but this isn’t KP or Kalyani Nagar. This could work there, but probably not in Kothrud. However high quality and amazing your food is, unless the patrons feel – ‘Yaar, kha ke dil khush ho gaya’, they might not come back. But I wish them the best of luck. With some tweaking and experience, this place can do wonders and I’m counting on it!
Bungalow 424 is a place with a nice ambience having rooftop and closed option. The staff is nice and has a variety of combos and freebies on different days of the week. The food is good although the nachos was not upto mark – felt like Doritos with some cheese and veggies on top. The menu is elaborate with many options from Indian to Continental, Asian etc. The choice of food and the ambience makes it a great place for dates, hangout with friends and even family. There books and games to kill the time while food arrives and I felt it took a little too much time to serve just 2 people. This is a pet friendly place so great for all pet lovers out there. Do try this place. Will update post trying out some more dishes
I loved this place so much because of the open air seating and versatility of the menu.Even the cocktail menu is brilliant – each option seemed better than the last. Finally settled for a whiskey chai sour which was amazing – elaichi flavour came through great and the foam was a proper egg white. Even the gin cocktail I tried was brilliantly prepared. They gave us 1+1 coupons on cocktails for the next time that we visit, so that’s a great plus.In the food, I tried the Chicken Rasbhari which was just juicy tikkas surrounded by slivers of onion. But it was served with tomato ketchup instead of mint chutney for reasons unknown to us.Overall an awesome experience at the bungalow. Definitely visiting them again!
