  The story behind the name Midnight Kakery is very interesting. The owner of the place used to experiment on baking products at home after she came from her office. She used to come home at night and till the time the product would be ready it would be past midnight. Hence the name Midnight.It is a small place which will serve you delicious bakery products and some very tasty savoury snacks. Every product at this place has gone through several trials and hence all of the products are a beautiful and perfect outcome of the hard work behind it.Let’s go through the dishes I had here,Aloo Chat Puffs: – A unique concept of a Vol Au Vent, with an interesting Indian twist. That potatoes were mushy and very tasty, they had a really nice chattpata flavor with a burst of chat masala and a slight tanginess of lime.Garlic Bread with Cheese: – When you think of cheese the first thing that comes to your mind is the gorgeous cheese pull. The good part about having a garlic bread here is that their bread is baked in-house. Also the cheese use was pure cow milk mozzarella.Basil Pesto with Bufala Mozzarella Toastie: – A perfect snack if you like to have a dish with cheese with a minty taste. It is finished off with cherry tomatoes for freshness.Cajun Spiced Chicken Sandwich: – The sandwich made very delicately with tender chicken breast marinated in spicy Cajun spice, grilled to perfection and served between two slices of crusty grilled bread on a cool minty yoghurt bed with salted fries.Chicken Tikka Sandwich: – A sandwich made with utter perfection, with juicy chicken tikka served between grilled bread with salted fries at the side.Pickled Peppers with Mozzarella: – This was the best sandwich I had here. Made of grilled bell peppers which is marinated in balsamic vinegar, black olives, Sriracha aioli and cow milk mozzarella between the grilled bread slices.And now coming to the best part of the place that is the hot chocolate! All the hot chocolates served at this place are amazing. It’s just a matter of your preference.Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate: – This Hot Chocolate is not only pretty to look, but also awesome in taste. The hot chocolate has a slight side of saltiness which complements the caramel flavor. If you are caramel lover you must give this a try, and if you are looking for something different, this is a must try.Orange Hot Chocolate: – Hot chocolate with a nice twist of orange which is an amazing combination with chocolate. A must try.Peppermint Hot Chocolate: – This hot chocolate has peppermint flavored marshmallows served with it. It does not have excess flavor of peppermint. Also had the Cinnamon Spiced Hot Chocolate which was pretty impressive.Overall the place is a must visit for the amazing bakery products and savoury snacks.

  // MIDNIGHT KAKERY //A small cute cafe cum bakery in Kothrud.Decent outdoor seating arrangements.I have been visiting this place from lomg time and I must say the taste the quality and the quantity hasn’t changed yet.This place won’t ever disappoint you by any means.You can just come down anytime and hangout with your friends and may be with your partner in the evening time to just munch on something with Hot chocolate.Also to setup this place alot of hard work and devotion has been paid of by working midnight after the regular shift with lots of trial and error methods thev have come up with the best menu with the top notch taste, quality and quantity.Coming to food and beverages:ALOO CHAAT PUFFS:Craving for some khatta meetha then this is the dish you should definitely try. French style buttered in house puff pastry filled up with tangy and spicy aloo chaat. The puffs are perfectly baked and with crisp texture and moist inside. The loaf is stuffed with fresh cow’s milk mozrella cheese. Also hands down to the cheese pull.GARLIC BREAD WITH CHEESE:Ahh now one more place added to my list for Garlic bread. Even this is in-house Garlic bread loaf with fresh herbs and garlic used in balanced proportion.TOASTIE: (BASIL PESTO with BUFALA CHEESE)TOASTIE is something you wont get everywhere in Pune or you’ll get only here ar midnight kakery. Thick toasted breadsCAJUN SPICED CHICKEN SANDWICH:Chicken breast chunks perfectly marinated in cajun spice, grilled to perfection in oven with the over crisp texture which’ll last long even if you keep it for longer period. Served on a bed of cool minted yoghurt which is definitely the best combination i.e Spicy and Minty also accompanied by fries. Its a bit spicy.CHICKEN TIKKA SANDWICH:Chicken breast morsels is just marinated to perfection on tandoori curd which gives a creamy texture to the filling which is not at all spicy but appealing. Seasoned with mint chutney and topped with fresh salad.PANEER TIKKA SANDWICH:Tender morsels of Paneer marinated in curd and in house spices overnight. Accompanied by spicy mint chutney and salted fries. This small small things like spicy mint chutney and fries also play an important role over taste.HOT CHOCOLATE:Cinnamon, Orange, Peppermint and CaramelMy personal fav is orange and caramel cause the taste you have been imagining is lot more then that. Also people who love a bit spice texture in hot chocolate then Peppermint should be your go to option.So yes this place is full of flavours and surprises.The service is also fast and also don’t forget to try their pastries

  It’s an amazing place with large variety of in-house cakes, deserts and yummy snacks items which you can enjoy with your friends and family over the cup of coffeeThey have outdoor seating with full view of road.An ideal place to hang out with your family and friends.We ordered below :1. Aloo Chat Puffs -I liked it most. In house puff pastry filled with yummy chat filling. Topped up with sev and tamarind chutney.It was light and flaky. Not at all soggy. Taste of aloo chat was amazing. A dash of pudina chutney could have done wonders. #Recommended2. Garlic Bread with Cheese -The best garlic bread I have eaten so far. In house bread loaf poured with butter, fresh garlic and herbs with stuffed mozzarella cheese. Everything was fresh. I could sense the aroma of garlic bread from a feet away. It was very delicious and highly recommended.3. Toasties -Toasts topped up with chilli hummus, pomegranate molasses and dried chickpeas. The combination of all of these was deadly. Hummus was fresh.I felt hummus was too much pasty and it should have been little coarse.4. Cajun Spiced Chicken Sandwich -I love Cajun spice. Hence I was excited to taste this one. It was chicken breasts marinated in cajun spice sauce grilled at perfection, sandwiched with sauted onion rings. Taste was good and it was quite filling.Recommended.5. Pickled peppers with Mozzarella -It was a star dish. Bell peppers grilled and marinated with vinegar and black olives to give pickled taste.Option for vegetarians.6. Chicken Tikka Sandwich -Spicy chicken tikka with mint chutney with desi touch. They marinated chicken pieces overnight so that marination reaches to the core. Recommended7. Hot Chocolate (Orange, Peppermint, Salted Caramel) -I am not a hot chocolate person but still I gave a try with few varieties.I loved the most Orange and Salted Caramel.Peppermint was too strong for my tastebuds.Cold flavor of mint and hot chocolate didn’t went well with my palate. But on the contrary some of us liked it most.8. X’mas special plum cake :Rum Soaked plum cake was the awesomest thing I had here. You can smell the rum from a distance. Boozy to the core. Soon they will start selling it.Cost would be between 1000-1200 for half kg#MustTryOverall it was highly satisfactory experience for me.Please visit the place and enjoy their lipsmacking food.

  Location & ambience :Midnight Kakery is a cute little cafe tucked up in Kothrud with a lively ambience. They’ve got an outdoor seating space with some pretty lights which would enlighten your mood.Food & Beverages :Midnight Kakery started with some really amazing desserts and cakes but over the period of time they have now extended their menu to savoury bites as well.Everything they serve is made in house, from breads to toppings to sauces and is absolutely organic and free of preservatives and chemicals.I tried- Mediterranean Open Puffs : These make for a delicious savoury bite where their in house puff pastry is baked with a filling of olives, jalapenos and lots of cheese- Garlic Bread with cheese : The speciality of this garlic bread is that garlic and herbs are put inside the bread while baking it to enhance the taste. The garlic bread loaf is shredded with a generous amount of cheese and baked till golden perfection.- Basil Pesto and Bufala Mozzarella Toastie : Thick toasted slices of bread with generous amount of basil pesto spread over it, topped with Bufala Mozzarella and finally finished with cute little cheery tomatoes. *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*- Paneer Tikka Sandwich : The desi style traditional marinated paneer stuffed in their non bromated bread with some crunchy onions.- Roasted peppers and mozzarella sandwich : House made Bread stuffed with roasted bell peppers, seasoned with Sriracha, topped with cow’s milk mozzarella and oven grilled till perfection. *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*- Hot Chocolate : What’s better than a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter night? Hot chocolate is a luxury of cold weather — a warm, velvety-smooth mixture of rich cream and dark chocolate that does double duty as a drink and dessert. They have moved a bit out the box for their hot Chocolates as well and have come up with a variety of flavours like Peppermint, Mocha, Cinnamon Spice etc.)My absolute favourite is the cinnamon spice. *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*Staff & ServiceIt was lovely meeting Mr. Prasad and Mrs. Shruti. They serve each and every dish with such warmth and affection.Value for Money5/5

  In the daily hustle it is always good to be at a place which has cosy ambience and good food. Similar is the place Midnight Kakery in new DP road Kothrud.They have a very cosy and lively ambience just outside their bakery shop where you can enjoy your evening peacefully with your loved ones.For food, they have a very limited but focused menu which I loved about them.We tried following dishes:Garlic Bread with cheese: I must say their in-house bread is a show stealer. Even after being cold, it retains its crunch. Crunchy bread with cheese oozing out, damn it was love for cheese lovers. Overall we just loved this dish.Toasties: This is for egg lovers. It had sun dried tomato pesto sauce, which is made in-house. It was topped with seasoned boiled eggs and garnished with fresh micro greens. Again, this was amazing. Flavours were so balancing and the toasties were at their best.Cajun Spiced Chicken Sandwich: It had Cajun spice with lots of bite sized juicy chicken breast pieces. The right proportion of everything made this sandwich taste delicious.Pickled peppers with Mozzarella Sandwich: This grilled sandwich had grilled bell peppers which were marinated in balsamic vinegar, black olives, sriracha aioli and fresh mozzarella cheese. This sandwich is definitely worth the try. This was the best for me on the table. This was amazing, delicious, yummy, tasty and what not!Finally we ended with some Hot Chocolate of flavours: Peppermint, Mocha and Cinnamon spice.Peppermint was definitely the winner as 5 out of 6 of us liked it. It was served with subtle mint flavoured marshmallows. Cinnamon and Mocha cannot be missed though.The main thing I liked about this bakery is they use PURE CHOCOLATE for all their desserts, which is really a great thing.Overall it was a very lovely experience for us.
