To sum it up, this is a People’s Restaurant. It serves as a Mess for Students, as Restaurant for families, as a Saviour when no-one is home. They serve good, hygienic, tasty, less spicy, wholesome food. Their Chapatis are bit over dressed in flour. Masale Bhat on Sundays is superb. You get Express Service here. You don’t even have to ask for anything, serving people have sharp eyes, they keep on serving as you as you go on finishing.Food: 4.5/5Service: 5/5Ambience: 3/5VFM: 5/5
I had there food for 4 years from 2006 to 2010,i want to say this is typical maharastrian thali within affordable price with awesome taste. All the staff and uncle are humble.I moved to Delhi in 2013 and hopefully again enjoy their food from next month as I am reshifting to pune.Earlier this place was called ‘Suvarnarekha dinning hall’.
A place for pocket friendly userTypical puneri thaliOne can be there and have unlimited thali(except papad) just for 80RSWatery sabjiLow quality rice
I think the best time to be here is for Sunday lunch. You will get typical maharashtrian menu like masale bhat, batata bhaji and Jilebi everything is unlimited and at very reasonable price.
Unlimited Maharashtrian Thali on a budget ! Like to have Maharashtrian thali for lunch or dinner ? Don’t want to spend Rs. 250 or 300 for it ? Then this is the place you should be looking for. You get all this (see the photo) for just Rs. 80It’s a typical Puneri thali. This was my first visit, but I was impressed with the taste as well as the promptness of their staff.
This is a puneri mess but the food is totally yum and affordable.owner is one good person still running this with same commitment that was there 10 years back.Go there if u love Maharashtrian thali and want to relish yummy food .Earlier this used to be called suvarnarekha mess near bhandarkar road
Have taken parcel for home. This restaurant was one of my favourite when they were on Prabhat Road and named Suvarnarekha. The thali is typical mees type thali for bachelors. Ambience is ok as they mostly serve college students or bachelor. And as mentioned have always taken parcel. It is VFM restaurant if you live Thali..
