Zomato has fooled us with the rating..The place had zero ambience..not even a hotel..it’s sort of a house..However, we believed the food would be good so did not care about the place. But the lunch thali & chicken was just not worth the cost. Waste of money..just spoilt our time
How good would it be, when you can drop in(rather climb up) to a cozy little joint and enjoy a good home cooked kerala meal, while you are far away from home. Add to it, the warmth of Murali Chettan and his family. It’s a small 8 or 10 seater joint with great appam, meen curry, fabulous side dishes for a kerala thali and fresh fish fry. The chicken curry, however I wouldn’t vouch for, gravy of which, totally felt like sweet ulli(onion) curry.
Excellent homely food.. very good value for money..a must experience for the keralites in Mumbai.. fish curry and fish fry was awesome.. altogether great experience
This place cannot be termed as a hotel. Its an extended version of a house. Difficult to locate its just behind a bus stop one need to climb a staircase. Just like any home it has a curtain at the entrance. Very small place which can hardly seat 10 person at a time. This place doesn’t have a menu need to ask whats available at a particular time. Place is usually frequented by nearby office people for homely mallu food at lunch time. Hygiene can be a cause of a concern here. So ordered a veg meal or thali and kerala porota and beef fry i has asked for beef fry but got a roast kind of thing. Nothing to boast of here just usual home like taste. As few reviews mentions that in the absence of menu the owner charges as per his wish i will agree to it i think he charges according to his whims
If you want to have authentic home cooked mallu food you can definitely visit this place. The place is little difficult to find as it has a very small non noticeable board. We had to call up the owner to trace the place. There are 2-3 tables inside a house where they serve food. The food is good and reasonably priced.
favourite dining place of Gareth Dsouza & Giri Dharan It is situated on first floor with lack of ambiance. You have limited choice in menu card Owner/ staff of hotel is very polite
