Chole was stale and rice was undercooked , their chole was really bad this time also rice was way undercooked it tasted horrible to eat both of it and all their vegetables were on the salty side, very salty the food was .
This place serves authentic vegetarian Punjabi food. The kulchas are lip-smacking, the rajma chawal tastes just like my mom would make it and the halwas cannot get any better.Not only is it delicious food, it is very convenient to eat too cause of the way it is packaged. Punjabi food at its best!
If the management doesn’t learn to treat people properly, I am sure this place with shut down very soon. I rated this place earlier as good but it has gone from good to bad and then to worse just like snap of a finger. The food tastes Ok but it’s nothing without the courtesy towards the people.Won’t recommend this outlet to anyone ever.
The head and mouth of the management and staff is not in sync with each other. They don’t know how to treat people and the food is equally bad.
I have tried several dishes from Punjabi Roots.The best one to try here is the lip smacking Amritsari aloo kulcha.Reminds me of the flavours of the North.
How in the world can any one f*** up dal rice. The most simple of the possible dish. I ordered for the so called their specialty dal rice, after waiting for some good 40 minutes, I get a box of rice with some mixed dal poured over it.Now I have no problem with getting the dal rice in one box, but,1. The dal was completely uncooked/raw2. If you are serving anything else than usual used yellow dal, kindly specify.3. The the combination box makes no sense if the rice is all dry with dal topped on it.Extremely dissappointed!!
I ordered chola bhatura and moong dal ka halwa. There was not enough chole for 2 bhatura. And they sent me worst ‘moong dal ka halwa’ that I have ever eaten. BTW I could not finish the whole cup as it was not sweet at all.
