Probably the oldest place in town. Serves Indian, mughlai and chinese. Bang in the centre. Family fine dine with a separate smoking area.Here’s the stuff we had:Chicken Boti Kabab: Chicken was decent but the garnishing was stale.Basa Rawa Fry: Too much rawa and barely any basa. Was dry as well. Avoid seafood here if you are not comfortable with anything frozen.In the mains we had Chicken Mughlai and Paneer Mushroom Masala. Both were better than the starters. Apart from that they have a killer dal tadka which was probably the best item for the day.It’s a typical hotel of the 90s. Cosy and decent enough to satiate you. The price is a tad higher in terms of value for money.

Hotel Lonavla happens to be one of the famous restaurants in Lonavala. The place has a typical bar like feel and is good for serious drinkers.The hotel is wonderfully designed and has a unique elevated seating arrangement.The food we ordered included Chicken Clear Soup, Chicken Banjara Kebab, Dal Tadka and Steamed Rice.The chicken clear soup was flavourful, the garnishing can be improved.Chicken Banjara Kebabs were awesome. Eight medium sized succulent pieces of chicken marinated in curd and roasted to perfection. They came with ample salad, green chutney and lime.The Dal Tadka had too much oil and almost no salt.Overall a good experience.Check out the pics.
Ordered the Hara Bhara Kebab (8 pieces) and half chicken Tandoori (4 pieces). Hara bhara Kebab was a bit disappointing – oily, greasy and only had potato filling. Tasted more like Aaloo pattice than hara bhara kebabs. The chicken Tandoori was good though. You could try that. Paid Rs 500 for two. Good thing is they deliver food to the hotel if it’s nearby. I was staying at Lake View Resort, which is not too far from this restaurant so they delivered my order in about 45 mins.
