During my recent trip to Pune I visited the Khadki bazaar area nearly every evening to try some of the local Maharashtrian snacks available here and wasn’t disappointed at all. Grandeur or pomp is not to be noticed in this area of the city and none of the eateries had a microwave oven to heat up left pre-fried stuff. So whenever you are here,you are sure of getting freshly fried bhaajis provided you have the time to wait a bit. All the shops here boast of more or less similar spreads that include local snacks as well as crispy samosas.I had the samosas here and the vada pav which were equally good, though I would recommend the samosas more, specially because of its crunch and flavor, heightened by the chilli-coriander sauce made here which had an unmistakable tang and a lovely aftertaste. May be I’ll again go back to this place once I revisit the city 🙂
