What a lovely little place. The food is amazing. We had the blue cheese pizza which had just the right amount of blue in it to make it interesting but not overpowering. The prosciutto one is delicious as are the others we sampled. This place makes the kind of pizzas you want to sit and enjoy with a lovely bottle of wine. Definitely going back and soon!

Yesterday we had our dinner at Fontana Viva on Baner Road, which serves authentic Italian food. One of our dear friends had recommended us this place saying that if you want to have real real authentic Italian food this is the place to be. We are glad we took his recommendation seriously and went to Fantana Viva yesterday. This cute little cosy place tucked away in the corner of a complex which also houses Poona Republic had more to offer then we really expected. The owner of this place, Jijo Is just not an amazing chef but a very wonderful person too. We ordered for one pizza and one pasta and we were surprised by one of the best Italian foods we have had so far. Jijo is a very very passionate person and by the time we had finished with a dinner he had decorated the table adjacent to us with a lot of delicacies which were actually not on the menu. Out of curiosity we just checked if he had some guests coming over. He said, “He has prepared this for himself.” He was generous enough to offer a tasting session of these delicacies which we thoroughly enjoyed. We wish Jijo the very best for such a beautiful place. I would strongly recommend this place for all those people who really want to savour authentic Italian food.

We went to this place after reading its review. Well the restaurant was closed so we had to call the owner to check if it will be open and they said it would open in 15 mins so we waited. The restaurant people were awake till 1 PM the night before due to huge crowd pouring in after positive reviews. To put things straight, the place is small and the staff includes 3 people including the Old Italian Chef, so they cannot accomodate and handle large crowd at the moment. I am sure seeing the response they would expand the place and increase the staff. We were greeted with a person who had 15 yrs of exp and was trained under Italian Chef. We started with Lavazza espresso which was good. Coming to food, we ordered Al fungi pasta with white sauce and Vegetariana Pizza. Since the Chef was not available, the person who greeted us cooked the food. The pizza base was made in front of us. It was fresh and authentic in taste. Al fungi we ordered with Spagetti pasta. The white sauce was perfectly balanced in taste with right amount of butter and lots of mushrooms. We wanted to order 2 Tiramisu but at that moment only one was available. In order to not dissapoint us they served us with home made musk melon ice cream. Tiramisu was to die for, it was so perfect in taste. I am sure I will order it everytime I visit this place. Musk melon ice cream was heavenly and very fresh. It had strong natural flavour of musk melon. The Italian Chef is very friendly, he has been in India for 16 yrs and more. He shared his journey in India and Italy.Ambience is simple and cute.Points to be noted: Do not expect fast service as good food takes time. Do not expect Indian style Pizza or Pasta. The place is small so plan accordingly.

Good place for authentic italian taste. Really liked the blue cheese pasta. This place is set up and run by the italian chef himself. The restaurant can however work on making the place a little lively with some music maybe and better plating the dishes.

If you truly want to taste authentic Italian food with all the Italian love, then this is the place to be. Jijo the chef is very passionate about his cooking. Italian food is slow food made with love. So don’t go to this place in a hurry. Sit back and relax to have good Italian food. we tried the pasta, pizza and tiramisu. Jijo also gave some icecream with strawberry sauce as a compliment in the end. You can also have a great conversation with him with all the animated expressions of Jijo.
