Cult Terra is one of the sister brand of Cul Hospitality which is a huge property in Magarpatta. The property is situated bit outside of Pune but trust me once you enter in the premises you wont feel going back at all.The ambiance is perfect for Royal gatherings , it’s basically a lavish place which is meant for great parties, get together or to have a bash with your loved ones. Full marks to ambiance.Let’s get into the main stuff -Flambe chicken – Full tandoori chicken which were looking like a trophy when it came on table. The red juicy coating of marination was too good , we just can’t take our eyes of that juicy tender chicken. It was then burnt with flame and rum which added a nice flavor change. The marination was on point and it was consistent throughout the meat and even it went inside which is only possible with good marination time. The meat was super juicy and it really tasted like a meat heaven.Chicken Tikka taco – Mexican tacos with Indian twist. The crisp taco was filled with South Indian chicken which had a strong flavor of kadipatta. The masala was really nice which had all the Indian spices , garam masala and it complimented the crisp tacos. Something different which turned out to be one of the best dish. The strong filling were balanced with sour cream.Prawns dumplings – Medium thin gooey coating with a juicy minced filling of prawns is a treat to your taste buds. When I took first bite into dumplings the seafood flavors blasted in my mouth. A great dish to have here.Sriracha baos – Soft fluffy sweetish baos filled with Sriracha mayo based sauce which had crisp tofus. The combination was really good, the fluffy baos with Sriracha says and juicy tofu combination really worked.BLT – The Blts served here are super juicy and not at all dry. It was served in normal bread(no toasted thing ). A simple filling like tomato, lettuce and in house sauce with good amount of bacon which made it juicy af.. Go for it.Mains -Paneer sabji – Typical dhaba style paneer sabji which had the exact flavors from North India. Goes nice with naan or kulcha.Indo China gravy – Spicy Chinese gravy which were medium thick and had lots of veggies as well big chunk of tender chicken. It was served with rice which is a perfect combination.Overall verdict – Cult Terra serves some great food as well as nice options in beverages. Definitely try it. hungernationblog.wordpress.com
The place is very lively with nice decor and vibrant music played by the DJ. We visited for a Sunday brunch and enjoyed the overall experience. At the entrance you can choose the plan you want to opt for the buffet ( with drinks , without a drinks). You pay in advance and they give a colour coded wrist band to everyone as per the plan chosen, so that you can enjoy the meal hassle-free.They serve variety of food items in the buffet ranging from chat, sushi, hummus, some India dishes and desserts. They had a nacho station with nacho chips , sour cream, cheese and salsa. The hummus station had various veggies and sauted olives were amazing. They also had a salad station with variety of salads and non veg condiments. They have a live chat counter serving various chats from pani puris to samosa chat. Starters and drinks are served at the table. Freshly prepared hot rotis / naans are also served along with the main course at the table. The staff is polite and service is good. There are many areas for improvement.( Note to the management )1) All food items including the salads and the breads should be individually labelled instead of just mentioning salad counter. At least Veg and non veg salads should be clearly marked. The veg and the non veg salads were kept together and no clear mention or markings made it a bit difficult to distinguish. You don’t want vegetarians accidentally eating non veg food and complaining.2) The humus station, sushi station had no serving spoons or tongs. All the guests were using their hands to help themselves with the food, they might have been eating with the same hands. I find it unhygienic and this could be easily improved.3) The deserts had no lable and the sponge cakes kept on the center table had no serving spoons / tongs.4) There was no veg soup only one non veg soup on the menu. You could have kept 1 veg and 1 non veg soup in the menu or just 1 veg soup so that all your guest can have it.5) The starters served on the table could be better to taste. The veg started were good but the non veg starters were not that tasty.
Open to air ambience, wide spread dining area, with a equally wide stacked up bar, amazing and innovative cocktails, tasty food and excellent company of fellow friends. What more can one ask for.My evening, in a nutshell was exactly as this. The evening began with a round of some innovative cocktails like:Culting Orange – different take on mojito. Served up in orange juice and lots of mint muddled into it.Berry Mania – confluence of vodka with berries along with few more spirits. It’s a hard hitting delicious concoction.Fishing – vodka & strawberry infusion with raspberry jam. Vibrant in colour, amazing presentation, lovely intriguing taste.Whiskey Shikanjui – whiskey served mixed in delhi/north style shikanji with loads of ice in a bucket-tap style container. The starters we had were:Paneer Tikka Tacos – traditional paneer tikka fusion and served in tacos makes it interesting visually, but is a treat to taste buds.Rajma Chawal – oh yeah. Individual tikki’s made of rice and cooked & pureed rajma, served uniquely with onion rings, tastes just divine. Couldn’t imagine this as a starter. But was really nice.Thai Asparagus Gyoza – stir fried veggies with lemon grass and asparagus, served up dumpling style with assortment of 3 dips.Amritsari Bhurji Bao – amritsari style paneer bhurji, served in a bao, makes it for interesting setting and a visual presentation to soothe the eyes. Good on taste too.For our main course, we ordered:In-house special JD Black Dairy Dal – perfectly slow cooked, mildly spice infused, creamy texture, topped with loads of dairy cream, just the right thing to go with a butter roti or simple plain, steamed rice.Paneer Sirka Pyaaz – a gravy paneer dish served up with the traditional sirka pyaaz, tastes absolutely brilliant with roti and paranthas. Our meal was rounded off with their soothing and delectable tiramisu platter. What lovely way to present this tasty dessert.Nice ambience, brilliant service and amazing food & drinks line up made this a truly memorable evening.
Recently I visited the famous The Cult – Terra | House in Magarpatta. Since it has been launched, it is in the news and finally when I got the chance to be here I was so excited. Honestly, It totally lived up to my expectation. The ambience, staff, food, music everything is totally fancy and awesome. Its so big and spacious. Even their parking lot is quite big. They have different sections Cult Terra – more of a restaurant and bar with peaceful ambiance outside and then they have this another place Cult House which is totally a fancy club more for the people who love to party. So, yes they have everything according to your mood. Also, they have recently launched a really cool co-working space. Since most of the time I work from home and I live in Magarpatta, there are no co-working spaces around and this place came out as my savior. Do try out – all you need is your laptop and charger and enjoy working at this wonderful place.Let’s talk about food I tried at Cult Terra:Appetizers I tried:Thai Asparagus Gyoza – So soft and fresh gyozas with perfect flavor of all Thai ingredients Rajma Chawal – This dish made using Kidney beans and rice is quite decent but I found it a bit on the dry side.Paneer Tikka Tacos – These were good but could be a bit more crispy but the overall taste I liked.Mushroom and Truffle croquette – totally loved the taste in every biteAmritsari Bhurji Bao – It was something different and I had never tried before, I liked the bao which is a very soft bread made of rice flour but the filling was okayishSeems like they have a lot of options in veg as well as non-veg!!Appetizers that my friends tried (non-veg) and they liked these:5 spice water chestnuts chicken su maiDhuadar Mutton galoutiWhiskey Garlic PrawnsDrinks I recommend: Cult Tap whiskey shikanjui – Mix of famous north nimbu shikanji with whiskey. Tangy and salty drink (less sweet). Must try!!Berry mania – a bit on the strong sideFishing Cocktail – Sweeter but nice and I loved how they presented in a fish-shaped glassCulting Orange – Must try, it is more of a better version of Pina ColadaAnd then in the main course, we had like classic dishes but trust me after a long time I found the proper Punjabi taste in food and I totally enjoyed the meal. I had:Paneer Sirka PyazJD Black Dairy Dal (Dal Makhni)Bread: Butter Naan, Laccha ParanthaAnd last but not least my favorite Tiramisu and they totally nailed it.Thanks a lot to the Cult team for having me over. You should not miss this place. Also, I have heard they have a super fancy sundowner and I would love to visit sometime
Had my birthday dinner here and tasted dumplings and biryani.Water chestnuts dumplings: The covering of dumplings could have been more thin, dumplings did not have a blast of flavours but it was tasty and complex once you dipped it in the sauces provided.Chicken Tikka Biryani: Came in a mini pressure cooker, served with salan and raita. Salan could have been more flavoursome. Chicken pieces were tender and the flavour of rice was really good. The prices are a bit on higher side but the quantity and taste of food justifies it.Service could have been more attentive, we were not given full plates for the main course and we did not bother to ask for it because the server was busy doing the bills of other table and we were too hungry to wait for full plates.
Cult is the perfect place to be when around magarpatta ! This part of the city really needs some new places to hangout at and cult does justice. The place has a huge searing capacity and is done up beautifully with minimalistic decor. Here’s what I had- •Peri peri chicken- loved this starter perfect to have with cocktails. #highlyrecommend•Desi Chilli Paneer- the paneer was really soft although it was paneer chilly it wasn’t spicy but worked for me.•Dal makhani – this was so delicious! You have to try this .#recommend•Veg pizza- with the correct amount of toppings and cheese this was one of my favourites here. #highlyrecommend•Chocolate Brownie with ice cream- the brownie here was sinful and made it the perfect dessert to end my meal. #highlyrecommendApart from this also had their chicken starter and gravy but the chicken was a but chewy and the gravy was wasn’t great! Also had the tiramisu which wasn’t strong and was quite average.
