I found the place overhyped and overrated. The misal was a bit too sweet and watery to my taste.

This place is abuzz at karve roadFilled with crowd and so many hungry-birdies who need their morning fillThe sabudana-khichdi was nice looking, soft sabudana, and the khichdi came out superb. The balls of love, with sweet, spicy and a hint of tang flavours to add with the lemon-wedge they provide on the side.It had perfect balance of spice and sweetnessWith pieces of peanuts in between for all those who love their peanutsI cudn’t ask for moreReally!I missed the sweet dahi which sadly they don’t provideHappy Eating!

Go and have this misal atleast once. It’s sweet and spice, perfect blend abd will be overcrowded sunday mornings, so choose some other day. And, don’t forget to have taak there. For more genuine reviews, follow my food blog on Instagram – https://instagram.com/food__4__soul?igshid=wgd1r4w6iyf7

In the by lanes of Narayan Peth, is located the famous and iconic Bedekar Tea Stall, serving quintessential Maharashtrian snacks, including the famous Puneri Misal. If you are there for breakfast you can go for poha, upma, sheera or Misal. We of course went for Misal. The one made here is quite different from Kolhapur or Jalgaon and has a tinge of sweetness to it, as they add gud or jaggery to it. This is in keeping with the local Brahmin tastes and specifications of the cuisine. They also serve two varieties of laadu made with ghee coconut and jaggery, along with their hot cuppa tea! A must visit place in Pune, clean, hygienic and easy on the pocket. Extremely polite and warm management and staff. Place is pretty crowded throughout the day. Best time to visit is early morning or late afternoon

Got some misal pav delivered from here, and absolutely loved it! it is perfect for one person and if you can handle the spice, then it is the place for you. We have heard it is knows for their super spicy misals!

My husband is really find of misal and I am not so he insisted me to go this place. For the first time I liked misal. They serve misal with bread and tatse was different from misal I have tried till now. We also had Kanda bhaji which was amazing tasty. Loved their food. Will surely love to visit another time.

We go to Bedekar for the misal almost every time that we visit Pune. Small non descript place service misal with bread slices and not pav. The misal is not very spicy, though you can ask for the spicy tarri also. What we also enjoy here are the dahi Vati, nimbu pani, Kokam Sharbat and taak. The home made supari packets are ideal to end the meal with.
