Visited this restaurant after reading so many 4+ ratings. We had Special Veg thali and Prawns masala fry thali.1. The special veg thali was not even 1/10th of special in taste. The vegetable gravies were tasteless.2. The Prawns masala thali were not that great as the hype in Zomato reviews. They serve Malvani food but the taste wasn’t malvani. Also it seemed that the Prawns were the frozen ones stored for quite a longer period and were also rubbery when chewed.
Amantran is the best place to eat proper maharashtrian food. Both veg &non-veg thalis are available here. Sea food is their speciality and the variety in their dishes is amazing. I personally liked the surmai thali, coz the piece of surmai was very big and very fresh. The service is also good and if you eat veg thali you get modaks as complimentary. Loved to visit here.
