My new favourite Thali restaurant in Thane. You gotta know you are awesome when you serve a remarkable Thali in an entire neighbourhood filled with similar themed restaurants. We were a bit skeptical with both Matsyaganda and Malvani in a single sentence. And while the food taste isn’t pure Malvani, it is still delectable and especially the dry gravy dishes are extremely well done.My recommendation :The non veg special thali : Reasonably priced at just 300 or 320, it comes with a thick chicken gravy, thick Mutton gravy, Rassa, Sol kadhi, boiled egg, rice, 4 pieces of wada, and YESS. Most importantly, 5 6 Pieces of jumbo sized fried prawns. A bliss in itself. The taste of each item in the dish is amazing, the prawns coated with the Malvani masala easily taking the cake. The other gravies are extremely yummy, although the gravy that comes along with them is bland and doesn’t really complement the other dishes in the Thali. Must work on your Rassa. Apart from that, everything else is more than satisfactory.Althouh the ambience is basic, the service provided by the Anna is amazing and he actually helps with the dishes. A must visit place for Thali lovers

The ambience and decor of this local restaurant may not attract you much, but when it comes to taste it is way beyond expectations and very much pocket friendly What did we have?1. Chicken Masala Thali : It had good amount of chicken blocks with enough gravy. It had one boiled egg.Rate : 3.5/52. Surmai Thali : The surmai was fresh perfectly fried and served.Rate : 3.5/5Overall Service : 4/5Taste : 4/5Ambience : 2/5Value for money : 4/5

If you are looking at an unglamorous place service sumptuous fry fish, yes, come here. It’s a very modest setting near Nitin Company very close to TMC. Surmai thali will cost you about Rs. 200. Don’t order crab, they source very small crabs which have little or no meat, leaving you with the useless gravy and empty calcium shells to suck. The fish is frozen so, don’t expect great taste. Note- Go for bottled water.VFM 4Ambience 2Taste 3.5Service 3

I love sea food Thali & found this restaurant is pocket friendly. You must try surmai Thali. The fish is fresh you can pick the piece from the display.
