A norrmal sweet shop don’t go on its looks best quality and tasty sweets served here. It’s balu shahi, kajukatli and snacks are must try. The place is an old place which has served sweets for ages . It’s a must try.
This city has a plethora of sweet n namkeen stores and one of the oldest n very popular one is the Shree Hanuman dairy shop.It has been around for more then 15 years and is infact the second outlet of the original store opposite Alok hotel near station.Located strategically on the very busy Ram Maruti Road and being the only shop of it’s kind in the area it is frequented by a lot of footfalls. The shop is very modest in size but has almost every popular variety of sweets n namkeens on display so there’s something for everyone be it barfi, mithai, peedhas, farsans, laddoos and savoury snacks like Punjabi samosas or Dhokla.Their pure ghee Moti Choor laddoos are very famous and are in demand all year round but more during festivities. The mouth watering jalebies are a must try as they are juicy, thick and very flavoursome and they just disappear quickly off the shelf. The savoury items are equally good especially the very tasty n mildly spicy samosas which has a generous filling and the outer cover is crispy but not doughy. The Dhokla is yet another specialty of theirs, it’s light, fluffy, well seasoned n has great texture. It goes perfectly with the green chutney provided. The different chivda’s are worth trying especially the potato salli and Nachni(raagi) variety. During Ganesh festival they make special steamed modaks which are one of the best in market. They start taking orders almost a month in advance and yet that’s not enough to fulfill all the demands. The modaks are stuffed with caramelised coconut done to perfection and the outer cover of steamed rice flour is very well cooked.During Diwali they make the entire range of sweet n savoury items required for the festival the orders for which are taken weeks in advance.Overall its a one stop shop for almost everything a sweet meat store should have.
