For a good bhojanalaya experience, this place is good to start ahead. We ordered onion uttapa, misal pav, batata kachori for upwas, masala dudh. All of these were authentic in tastes. Also there vada sambar seems famous.
This restaurant is good for senior citizen or working people but for family it is not as good as other restaurants this restaurant is near thane railway station so in the rush hour their is uncleanliness but food is tasty in mango season Amras is very tasty and delicious in thali their is roti 4 vegetables salad butter milk curd papad shrikhand type of dessert on Sunday in this restaurant in thali their is puri bhaji and dessert special thali but 1time visit to banta hai

Splendid! Meal for 90 bucks, 90 because I got it packed for take away, otherwise eat in charges are 80 per head. The food is awesome. I got 10 chapatis, a big bowl of rice, tomato chutni, ठेचा ( a spicy chutney of Maharashtra made by grinding red or green chillies with either groundnut or garlic to paste) , pickle, 2 sabzis (cauliflower and potato), dal and पिटल ( this is a very traditional Maharashtran curry of sorts). My mom and I couldn’t finish one thali between the two of us. The satff is pretty no nonsense and if you are sort of apprehensive of clumsy looking places then don’t bother going here. P.S.- While the place says Gujarati thali it is actually quite spicy contrary to the sweet subzis you go in expecting and also pure vegetarian, I would recommend a take away because that way you can eat it for lunch and dinner 😛
We were planning to visit this place for a long time, Finally yesterday we arrived at this place during lunch time. The entrance to this 1st floor eatery is through a commercial building in a busy locality near Thane station. When we ordered two thalis, immediately there was a thali placed in front of us and the food was served. Food is very basic. Three subzees one chana subzee, dudhee subzee and spicy aalu rassa and daal, hot rotlis straight from tavern to your plate, a curd and a glass of buttermilk, Papad. food is very tasty and homely. The waiters are friendly and courteous. The owner himself is present and supervises the service. I just loved the taste and simple demeanour of the place. It’s unlimited in just Rs. 80. Thete is penalty for food if wasted. I would like to mention that they also have shreekhand as sweet dish which is charged extra. Amazingly simple fare no fancy ambience. But a separate room if you have ladies with you. Simple funda. Just eat and leave. only condition is don’t waste food. I just loved it. Food 3.5 ambiences 2.5 service 4 pricing 4.5 taste 3.5
At 70 Rs a meal on weekdays, nothing can get better. The food is served hot n fresh. The go to place when you want to eat home like food n keep your pockets happy. I personally like the uncle at the counter he always welcomes you with a smile.
