This is one of the oldest restaurants in khanda colony. It is slightly at the end of the road which gives it a calm ambience. Its a restaurant and bar and its almost full every day with people interested to drink. Not recommended for a family outing. Food is pretty good. Panner tikka masala is great. Butter naan is upto standard. It is a budget restaurant. Chicken lolypop and other starters are exceptional. Having tried anything else.Parcel orders are served really quick.A good option to order food at home or a decent place to have a drink.
Oasis is probably one of the early birds in the field of family restaurants in Khanda Colony. It used to be my favourite restaurant when I was a kid. A great place for the family to go coupled with excellent food and service. However with time, this restaurant started shifting its orientation more towards being a bar.Thereafter it was only a matter of time and Oasis was more a bar and least a restaurant. Now it is no more a place for the families to go. You will always find people drinking be it night or day.A positive sign for those who are finding out places to drink :pRecently after probably 10-12 years I planned to try out the food here. Me and my friend went in during the noon hours. It wasn’t surprising to find the non-AC area with many men having their drinks even on a Monday afternoon! When we ordered for a normal lunch, we could distinctly spot the waiter being taken aback. Naturally they were not prepared to serve meal as majority prefer only drinking here. The order took really long to arrive.To my delight, the food was really good. I had paneer tikka masala and it was really awesome. It had a special touch to it which isn’t very common. Although the quantity was not up to the mark against its price. The roti and naans were only average. They can be made much much better.Overall it was good to have tried out Oasis after all these years.Note: Not at all for families to go. Good for take-aways. Excellent for drinkers (they have great starters) . Good place for guys to go here for a meal.Happy Eating 😀
