I happen to stop by this eatery some 2-3 years ago as I drove out of Pune towards Mumbai. It’s bang on the highway and just at the end of Dehu Road town. Not isolated yet not inside the hustle bustle. I don’t know why I stopped by. But the small, no frills, plain and ordinary set up probably prompted me to stop. It’s a small eatery and not a dhaba by any standards. Because dhabas are those who have a sprawling space, good front set up to park your cars and trucks and also has fairly large set up. This has none. And now with the widening of road, it has again gone slimmer and smaller. What caught my attention was few Newspaper cuttings pasted on the wall of the dhaba. And it said, this dhaba also runs a ER (Emergency Response) service as well. I was a bit surprised and intrigued too. Why is that for this small, not so known dhaba to run the ER service? The owner then explains that his father’s death prompted him to start this service. Impressive. Food is cooked once you order. Food is just OK and nothing which I can talk very high about. But it does the job. Given the small, low key ordinary set up, it’s OK to stop by and grab some food. It serves some of the basic essentials of today’s dine out check list. Like, mineral water, cold drinks and tissue papers. Overall, nothing great but will kill your hunger with modest food preparations while ensuring you have some essentials like water and tissue given to you to keep you safe and clean.
This is a real dhaba and not a hotel with dhaba like settings on the highway. It serves the purpose of a dhabha giving hot super tasty food at super reasonable price to travellers. Chicken patiyala was great and so was chole masala. roties are served hot from tandoor and are of good quality. Though the menu is limited and has no starters it is good at what it offers. A lunch for 2 will not be more than 400 bucks. Great value for money and a great place to satisfy your Punjabi food cravings at have a good weekend ride from the city.
A small but well managed place. Its a place for authentic punjabi food.Even a very basic , daal tadka and hot tandoori roti is yummy.Tandoori roti here includes ajwain in it and tastes punjabi style that I never had in Pune before. Its a must visit place.
Most of the time this is empty , why, I thing the hotel which have customer have chance of fresh food or else boz of no sale no fresh food prepared or leftover mixed to fresh food.
Well it really needs to develop a lot and also the ur had to improve its time perfection bt the food is really yummy n delicious I would suggest a dish called rajma its awsm
when u are very hungry no option available and do not want to take risk then visit this dhaba is only recommended for main course do not spend too much this is just a halting kinda dhaba with no appealing things to see just wait order paneer masala jeera rice n roti and move on not recommended when going with excitement of the dhaba feeling thats it nothing more to say
