It’s been a while since I tried some scrumptious chicken style with rural touch. This place is exactly the one I was looking for, the theme is to bring the rural style to urban cities, everything from servings to the interiors everything is place around that theme.I ordered the special chicken thali which had sukha chicken, gravy, chapati/bhakri and rice. The chicken was tender, well cooked, the gravy tasted just amazing.Full of flavours, had a very good after taste. The chicken waradi, the gravy had a spicy and flavourful hint. It’s a bliss for the spice lovers.I also tried the rabadi, I loved the consistency and the taste.I loved the place over all, it’s a must try to have the rural feel and amazing taste. The quality is not compromised with the price they serve for.
Visited this place yesterday. As the name indicates they have literally kept the ambience quiet desi. They don’t serve in normal plates but in leaf plates as in picture. They don’t have normal water bottles and glass, they have mud bottles and glasses. Not a big place but a small one with a decent desi ambience and superb food. For yesterday, we didn’t try much, just a paneer tikka masala and nan but both were worth it. Taste was really good. They don’t have much options in dessert but we tried rabadi and it was superb. A total must try.Overall, I am pretty sure they serve really great food and that too in quiet reasonable rates. This place is a worth visit.

The place good and it tries to replicate the Village Look. Taste is very good feels like you are in village. Do visit if you’re craving for spice khandeshi meal. .
Deshi Katta – the name itself determines its uniqueness. Located on one of the busiest streets of Akurdi, deshi Katta is committed to offer the authentic Maharashtrian recepies, collected from the regions of Maharashtra. Khandeshi cuisine is one of their specialities here, which hugely based on the mix of kala masala. It is often spicy & earthy, but here at Deshi Katta the food wasn’t too spicy, which is good. Generally, spiciness associated with abundance of chilli, which becomes beyond bearable. But this place didn’t serve anything like that, & hence their can be tasted by people of all the age groups. This place also offers some amazing North Indian food. I, along with my friends, tasted some of their signature thalis & dishes. But before I had Lassi. I have to mention this – it was a proper Lassi – thick & balanced sweetness. Just the way it should be.We tried Mutton Warhadi, Bharit thali (Baingan bharta), Chicken Kalimirch, Chicken kum dhaniya, Khandeshi thali. Everything tasted so good & authenticated. It was great both in quantity & quality. In the Kebab,we had their Chicken Malai kebab, which was amazing. We also had their signature Goti Soda & it was as strong as anything. This place can host decent amount of people simultaneously – not too big or too small. The place will surely offer you desi vibes. The food is served in earthenware & plates stitched with leaves are used as plates. The service here was on point. And the major part – prices are really moderate. I haven’t seen a lot of places which serves this kind of quality food in these kind of price bracket. It’s totally value for money. I would definitely recommend this place to visit.Score (out of 5):Food : 5Service : 5
