Hokey Pokey outlets are some of the few places which serve ‘cold stone’ ice-creams, a term which I’m quite sure is unknown to a sizeable number of people (yet). What it essentially is, is ice-cream mixed with various other ingredients on a cold stone and served as a sundae of sorts.Having tried it at Cold Stone creamery (elsewhere), who are among the best in the business, in comparision the service provided by the guy at this outlet seemed to know his way around the cold stone and the flavour profiles of the sundaes as well and left me impressed to a certain extant.Don’t expect perfection from them and on the other hand don’t think of the cold stone ice-creams as just another gimmick. Those are a bit pricey but you can always share! (Sharing’s good!).As for the’ ice-cream flavours wrt their taste, quality etc., they are nothing out of the ordinary. So, bottom line- is it worth going there just for the novelty value of the cold stone ice-creams?- Probably! You can decide for yourselves. But if you ask me for an honest opinion, there are cheaper, better, tastier alternatives for your regular i-scream-you-scream-we-all-scream-for-ice-cream moments. But just for the novelty, it is worth visiting once.
