Review No 437:Every so often you decide to walk in the streets unknown to you in a city only to realize that you can stumble upon something so interesting which you did not know existed. One such experience was when a few years back I happened to hit upon the Mahadev Patiswala and this time around it was A1 Pani Puri.Firstly, thanks Zomato for having this place listed. The place looks non-descript from outside and has a very limited squeezed up place for sitting but what matters sometimes in places like this is what is being served up and the service.The few things you notice when you enter are the clippings from Pune Mirror which list out this place as one of the better places to eat Street food when in Pimpri. That’s something huh. Also they have categorically mentioned that all their food stuffs are prepared in distilled water only.What did we try? The menu is limited and rightfully so. a. Dal Pakwaan: An absolute comfort food in a hot sunny afternoon. The dal was scrumptious and not very spiced. What made it tastier was the onion, coriander and green chutney which was added on the top just before serving.b. Pani Puri: This Pani Puri was made in a different style wherein they add Boondi to the ragda mix and their puris are made of Suji v/s Maida which makes it easy on the tummy. Unlike the Pani Puri’s we are accustomed to eating.c. Vada Pav: A slightly different variant of the vada pav which I have had so far. Not to say it was bad but yes, it was a bit different.Price: Absolutely value for moneyService: Very prompt and attentive. A single soul was managing the entire shop floor.Ratings on basis the experience just far on this surprise find:Food: 3.5/5Price: 4/5Service: 4.5/5Ambience: 2.5/5 *****************Overall: 3.5/5

However the quick service helps a lot.Lastly, hygiene is a concern as every item is prepared with bare hands without the use of gloves.
