A Roadside eatery serving one of the best kebabs! Very moderately priced, grab a plate of chicken seekh anf pav for somewhere around Rs 80/-Lovely buff kebabs as well.A quick service and piping hot kebabs is a guarantee!
As far as kebabs go, it’s never about just one thing. A good kebab is born when tender meat is obtained, cut into appropriately sized chunks, marinated long enough in a balanced concoction of spices, grilled on open coals, and charred just enough to add that ‘kissed by fire’ touch. Any crunchy veggies and chutneys just make it all the more awesome!Strangely enough, the best kebabs I’ve ever had were in tiny bye lanes of a city; be it Pune, or Dilli! Like the Chacha who sits in front of Jama masjid beats Tunday kebabi hands down, this little joint gives many established kebab places a run for their money!!Cutting to the chase, the specialty here is chicken. The meat is always damn tender, the cuts are never far from perfect, the marination is always balanced, and the grilling is impeccable. While it gets awfully crowded at times, the people take their own time to give you the best stuff, no hurrying or cutting corners. If you don’t mind the roadside seating and open coal grilling, do head here and eat away. For those who know their kebabs, I’ll just say one thing- me and my wife have eaten the kebabs that the uroos of Mahim dargah for a long time (back when the meat wasn’t questionable, and hygiene was sort of acceptable), and this place make kebabs that are very very close to those signature dishes.Ambiance – 1/5Taste – 4/5Service – 3/5Pricing – 4/5
I had no clue or expectation that this place would offer me the best kabab ever i had.. claim to run the business for 20 years..only one person to manage everything outside the darga just managing to prepare, sit and deliver in the very small space.. he offers beef kabab, chicken kabab, tikka and all.. i had beef kabab which is so so good and great with Lemon and lill of salt.. its better than many many big restaurants..comparable to old delhi.. even i liked it better
