97th Restaurant to be rated a complete 5on5 by me.The Sassy Spoon is Located in Delphi Building, Hiranandani Powai and it is easy to locate. Their other outlet is at Nariman Point. The restaurant is amazingly made as the vibe here is really good. They have a good size bar with a vintage Volkswagen van kept beside it and it looks super cute. The seatings are colourful and it was comfortable plus options are great for all size of groups. The ambiance is made using modern and vintage elements and they have highlighted Travel on a Plate quote perfectly by keeping a lot of travel related things around. Apart from all this the lightings done is great and the artificial plants adds amazing touch to the overall feel of the restaurant. They serve global cuisines hence the menu have amazing options to choose from and dishes are nicely balanced for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. I loved the self explanatory menu as they have mentioned details of the dishes. Prices are at par with similar kinds of brands and the quantity served is decent.I went here for dinner and the kitchen service was great as the dishes came on time and the table service by Staff Pravin was excellent as he was proactive. Also special thanks to Manager Pranay who made sure everything was fine. What We Had -APPETIZERS~Murtabak with a Chicken Rendang Stuffing -Their version of chicken kheema baida roti served with sweet spicy peanut sauce tasted delicious. The minced chicken had light mild flavours but the peanut sauce tasted great.Cajun Spiced Buttered Prawns with Garlic & Crusty Baguette -One of the best version of cajun prawns I have tried. Simple looking dish with juicy prawns done on cajun spice and garlic tasted outstanding. The spices didn’t had pungency but the taste was bold and full of flavours. The fresh bread served with it was amazingly soft.MAINS~Nutty Ricotta Ravioli with Homemade Ricotta, Walnuts, Pine Nuts & Garlic Cream Sauce -Ravioli filed with nuts done in ricotta cheese & garlic cream sauce along with more nuts tasted heavenly. The ravioli was little under done but the nuts and the sauce was just brilliant. Not too cheesy as the garlicky taste really goes well.Chicken Scallopini with Herbed Mushroom Rice in a Porcini Sauce -Perfectly grilled chicken done in creamy porcini mushroom sauce served on the bed of herbed rice along with more mushrooms tasted one of the best dishes. I loved the earthiness and the taste was smooth with light flavours. The herbed rice tasted great and the grilled chicken was done nicely.DESSERTS~Raspberry Mousse -Dark chocolate mousse with raspberry tasted good. The raspberry puree was tangy but it adds nice touch to the dark chocolate mousse.BEVERAGES~Pink Apple Lemonade.Passion Cooler. Both the mocktails were made perfectly and we loved it.So the meal at The Sassy Spoon was a memorable one as the food tasted amazing, the service was excellent and the vibe and ambiance is just perfect for every occasion. Therefore this place is highly recommended.
A friend of mine told me their pizza has french beans so I asked the server if it did and he confidently said “No” but when it was served the pizza had french beans. ☹️ french beans don’t taste the best in pizzas
The Sassy Spoon ❤️ An amazing place in the Hiranandani area of Powai. I visited after one of my friend recommended this place to me. And I am so very glad that I visited The Sassy Spoon. They have a lovely themed decor with pink colour interiors and a pretty nice vibe to it and also soft music keeps on playing. The service was excellent. We tried most of their Signature dishes: 1)Cajun Spiced Butter Prawns: Delicious Butter Prawns served in a hot pan with crusty baguette which were like bread toasts. One of the finest prawns dish I have had till date. 2)Rava crusted Bombay Duck: This dish was so amazing, the crusted Bombay duck pieces were melting in my mouth. Surely recommended to seafood lovers. 3)Murtabak with a Chicken Rendang stuffing: This dish was basically a ode to our Baida Roti. It had delicious fillings of chicken with a lovely sauce to go with. 4) Blackened Tenderloin Steak: Very few places serve steak and I love it. This version was very good with the kasundi mustard mashed and grilled Veggies. The meat was a bit chewy so I would recommend it only to people who love to chew their meat. 5) Tamarind & chilly spiced Rawas: This fish dish was really good and they served creamy coconut rice with it. A really perfect combination, the fish dominated the flavours but the rice was delicious. We were lucky enough to try their Berry Sassy Desserts which are available till 4 th February. We tried Baked Strawberry Cheesecake, Sassy Strawberry and Chocolate tart and Strawberry Pistachio Tarte. Trust me if not for the food you must visit The Sassy Spoon for these amazing desserts. They were spectacular. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Value for Money: 5/5

Powai has suddenly turned into the party zone and top culinary destination in the suburbs, giving tough competition to venues such as Lower Parel, Anderi, and BKC. One of the newest entrants here is this sassy place. Walk in to feel like you just entered the saner version of Alice in Wonderland. The greenery below the ceiling with the fairy lights, the differently-colored chair cushions, the careful arrangement of quirky collectibles along the booth wall, the life-size van fixture at the well-appointed bar, the medley of high chairs with zebra pattern, the cherry blossom motif on the pillar in the center and the juxtaposition of primary colors against each other. Look at me, I can write an architectural digest episode here! Combine this with an ever-helpful staff, a menu that promises a tour around the world, live music on special nights, a general bonhomie in the air and you know this is a winner. Prices are on the higher side but cannot complain looking at the location and the brand name. The quality of the food certainly justifies it to a large extent. For our review session, we had and loved-TOMATO, OLIVE AND PARMESAN SOUP- LOVED, hot bowl of warmth that I needed on this chilly evening,WARM LEMONY COUSCOUS WITH TOASTED ALMONDS, PEPPERS, CHILLI, CORIANDER SALAD- Healthy wholesome bowl, different flavors and textures went well together, a nice trip through west asia,SPICY KIDNEY BEANS EMPANADAS WITH QUESO – Straightforward, heavy dish, try it when you are in a group, could feel a bit dry but tasty nonetheless, BAKED BEETROOT & FETA KEFTEDES IN ONION SEED PITA WITH CUCUMBE TZATZIKI -LOVED, MUST-HAVE, the beetroot & feta koftas were OUTSTANDING, if I could make beetroot taste like this I would never eat outside food #justsaying 😀 Would come back here just to try this,BAKED LASAGNA WITH CREAMED LEEKS, MUSHROOMS, SWEET POTATOES & CHEDDAR – Again LOVED, and on the healthier side with layers of lasagna sheets, mushrooms, sweet potatoes in a hearty tomato sauce, Italy tastes good :D, NUTTY RICOTTA RAVIOLI WITH HOMEMADE RICOTTA, WALNUTS, PINE NUTS AND GARLIC CREAM SAUCE- Hands down my FAVORITE, the play of ricotta mounds with nuts and creamy sauce, explosion of flavors in mouth, had the potential to be bland or heavy and was none, try this for sure!, SEVEN TEXTURES OF HAZELNUT AND CHOCOLATE-Think of every chocolate and hazelnut based dessert form-pastry, disc, biscotti, mousse, molten sauce..this ultimate dessert has it ALL, if you love chocolate and hazelnut, try this.
