I could easily say that this was the most authentic Japanese cuisine I have had in a while. The fish used for sushi was fresh and the crispy pork was tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Having eaten this, I would say this place is an undiscovered gem hidden away in the galleria in Powai. People need to order from here. Even though they are situated in Powai, they deliver till andheri. I urge all the avid eaters and other fellow foodies to come here and be truly impressed and satisfied with the food they serve so lovingly.
The most authentic Japanese place in this side of Mumbai. The staff is friendly and the food is simple and good. I think most people mistake the Japanese that we have been having at buffets as the real deal.. there is so much more on offer.
Went to Torico more by accident than deliberate, as I wasn’t aware that an authentic Japanese food counter was there in Powai. Its only a take home.Ordered Mix Roll Sushi & Katsudon from the menu. The sushi rolls consists of Veg and Non-Veg but the veg can be replaced with non-veg ones without extra costing. The Katsudon is more than sufficient for a single person as the sticky rice provided alongwith the fried pork chops, egg. The costing was Rs.850/- but the sale + service tax added up to Rs.1020/- a steep charge of Rs.170/-. Enquiry on it revealed that it was the tax levied by the Govt since they’re wholly owned foreign entity.. Well I’m not sure about it.Anyhow the food was good but could have been tad tastier. My daughter and I enjoyed it to the last morsel.Definitely looking forward to revisit the place.
This one is a very personal review. It was a date for us. They do not have a seating arrangement but we expected to eat there. So, they gave us a table on the upper floor of the restaurant which is actually an office of imports of Japan. The staff was very polite and they served us well. And the office staff upstairs was talking in Japanese, which gave us the feel of authenticity. But the surprise part was when they gave us Japanese dry cakes to try with green tea flavour which was imported for sale by the office staff.
Worst order ever. I was hesitant to order sushi from here after seeing the reviews. But zomato showed only this restaurant (there are others but they don’t deliver to my place) which would have stopped my craving for Sushi. But they took 1 and half hour to deliver just one single order. Plus the food quality was bad. It was so much rice with less filling inside. And the roll was loose. The ginger served looked so bad I didn’t even dare to eat it. There is no negative rating otherwise I would have given -5. I don’t recommend it at all.
