  Okay so my dad *loves* sea food and we actually decided to go to one of our favourite sea food places but saw this place in the suggestions and after reading the reviews thought of giving it a try and don’t regret it one bit.Ambience-This is a small hotel with 8-10 tables and the kitchen is on the upper floor.Food-1)Tandoor Pomfret- The fish was quite big and fresh. I loved the taste. It was tangy with a hint of char grill. 2)Chicken Banjara Kebab-The chicken was cooked to perfection. It was a bit spicy and was drizzling with cheese. This was a good starter as well.3)Prawns Masala with Kombdi Wade-Loved how perfectly the prawns were cooked. There were about 8-10 prawns in the curry which was a good quantity for the price we paid. It had a thick gravy and the taste was pretty good.4)Prawns Biryani-Loved this dish as well. It had the correct mix of all the spices. The quantity was decent and had sufficient number of prawns. 5)Solkadhi-This was the only thing we didn’t like the reason being, the solkadhi was very cold and it was pretty average in taste.Staff- Staff was polite and welcoming.Cons-The drawbacks of this place are that the solkadhi can be improved and also, they don’t provide mint chutney. I love mint chutney. If they provide mint chutney then this place has everything you can ask for.Perks-The place is super affordable and has the most yummy and juicy food.

  Woww this place has crazy seafood to enjoy on. Have been there twice and Tried Pomfret,Surmai and Prawns thali which were just super delicious. Prawns were very large and fried in rawa masala which added to the crispness and taste.

  Malavani Solkadhi is located in small and busy lanes on Sadashiv Peth but that is never deal breaker for me if food is delicious.Solkadhi is around 20 years old restaurant which serves amazing Malvani Fare. We went for lunch last week and tried :- #TandoorPomfret ( तंदुरी पापलेट : आवर्जून खाण्यासारखी) :I’m not fan of Tandoori Fish but believe me this was amazing. Perfectly grilled Pomfret with Tandoori masala #WorthTry- #Bombil & #Prawns #RawaFry ( कुरकुरीत बोंबिल & कोळंबी रवा फ्राय )Both Bombil and Prawns crispy and perfectly spiced from inside. #GoodOption for starters.- #MalvaniSpecialFish Thali ( #जबरा मालवणी फिश थाळी )Thali is Huge and comes with Surmai/Pomfret Fry, Bangada Curry , Prawns Sukka , Prawns Curry , Coconut Chutney, Solkadhi , Sukat Chutney , Chapti/Bhakari, RiceWe opt for Surmai Tawa Fry( #Perfectly done) as we already tried Rawa fry in Prawns and Bombil.Followed by Bangada curry ( made in red chilly + slightly spiced ) paired with Rice bhakari :#Best part of Thali were Prawns Curry and Sukka both were finger licking good , were as all accompaniment – chutney was upto mark and solkadhi was slighlty dark in flavors.Overall Thali lived upto its name (Malvani) and we savoured very bit of it..!!!- #MuttonVade Thali ( एकदम #झकास मालवणी वडे..!!! )Thali comes with Mutton Curry, Mutton Sukka , Mutton Kheema, Malvani Vade ( मालवणी वडे ) Mutton Biryani, SolkadhiMutton Curry and Sukka with Malvani Vade was Killer Combo : Done in #Homelystyle and delicious.Kheema in thali was #MindBlowing with smoky flavors and now it top in my list..!!! #MustMustTryOverall : Extremely satiating experience..!!!   Honestly I have been taking reviews from food bloggers in pune with a grain of salt. But this deserves all the praise it has been given. We ordered the ₹550 Malwani special fish thali, and as you can see how tempting it looks. The thali was worth every penny. I was concerned with the quantity but it really exceeded my expectations . this thali will fill you up on an empty stomach easily and the flavours will explode in your mouth. The tawa fry surmai was spicy and fried to perfection. The sukat chatni is the best in any seafood restaurant I have tried, even in my native malvan. Kolambi suka was just damn tasty Kudos to the chef. The biryani rice they say is actually the long grain basmati rice, it’s not flavoured as i expected it to be. Don’t look at the price of the thali and get scared its honestly worth your money – coming from a person who spends only upto 300 on his lunch.

  Best place to cherish sea food dining. The restaurant ambience was quite well. Visited yesterday for my sea food craving, and found very satisfied and peaceful meal over here with affordable rates. Must visit specially for sea food lovers.
