Shantadurga!#SeaFoodHeaven#MuttonThali#Traditonalcuisine Shantadurga is located near arnyaneswar park, the menu primarily focuses on serving goan style sea food along with few options in chicken and mutton as well. The setup is pretty simple with around 5-6 tables with comfortable seating. This place is run by Mr & Mrs Verekar who make sure that the food served over here is always fresh. I recently visited this place to try out few dishes from the menu. Prawns Fry and Bombil Fry: Both were done to perfection, crispy rawa coating with a flavorful marination excellent in taste. The prawns and bombil both were fresh, it wasn’t oily. I personally loved the prawns fry. #Musthave Surmai Thali [Rs 360]: The Thali consisted of medium size surmai fry, goan curry with 2-3 prawns pieces, solkadhi wati, rice bhakri, steam rice, chicken curry. The goan curry was rich in taste and was nicely blended, the surmai fry was brilliant with fresh and soft surmai. Chicken curry was also good in taste and came without chicken pieces in it. The rice bhakri was served piping hot. #Musthave Mutton Thali [Rs 240]: Mutton Masala Fry, Mutton Curry, Solkadi Wati, Option Of Bhakri / Chapati. Steam Rice (Indrayani). The mutton masala fry and mutton curry were outstanding. I was really impressed with the way the mutton was cooked and the flavors were brilliant. The mutton curry was one of the best which I have had. #DontMiss Solkadhi: It was thin in consistency, I was expecting a chilly-garlic punch in it, however it was nicely done with balanced flavors. #Recommended. Overall: This place serves homely food and pricing is very low, the food quality was excellent, the price for sea food thali keeps on changing as per the availability of fish. I have attached the photo of the day of my visit to give you an idea about the pricing. I was really impressed with the food the pricing as well. Indeed a must visit place for people who want to try sea food and mutton thali’s. Thanks a lot for hosting us.
