***SHIKARA***The entrance and the interior is awesome for which i loved the restaurant the most. The place was very tidy clean and neat. They have live music. The only disappointing thing was the staff, i had to tell the staff teice thrice for the order.Food:Rumali roti, tandoor potato, sabz do ab and roti.Food was awesome taste wise. The portion is large. Ordered for bhaji (sabz do ab) and the portion was too much for 4 of us.Portion is good and taste as well.Food 4/5Staff 3/5Ambience 5/5VFM 4/5

The restaurant like last year has come up with the Kashmiri Food festival (Sair-E-Kashmir) from 23rd of Jan to 25th of Jan serving some innovative stuff as well some typical kashmiri household curation for the food lovers from maximum city. Extremely courteous and humble staff who guide you through their entire menu and inhouse special kashmiri cuisines which belongs to kashmiri pandits and kashmiri muslim communities. Nadur monji :- Nadru aka Lotus stem is one of the very commonly used items in kashmiri cuisine hence its participation right from starters to mains should not come as a surprise. This is an alternative to the french fries. Less oily, more crispy and combined with anardan chutney is a really good start to the food experience.Gobhi Rogani :- Cauliflowers marianted in kashmiri spices combined with some muj chetin was a balance of curd and spice.Nadru ke Kebab :- The naram kebabs served with anardan chutney was succelent. Again lotus stem in heart of the preparations.Coming to the mains we had few authentic subzi or shaak as one would like to say combined with rice and breads. Primarily rice being the staple ingredient, the cuisine comprises of the classic Zaffran Chawal and the breada are served as the comfort food for the local palate.Mangun Yakhni :- Dish of the day in main course of vegetarian section. The curd based dish was super awesome with zaffran rice . The baingan was cooked well and mixed well with the gravy. Tsoonth Nadur :- A combination of apples with lotus stem in a tangy and kashmiri spice based dish gives you another option for the breads. The nature of lotus stem helps it soak the tangyness Shulgum Phirni :- Phirni made from turnip? Amazing innovation. The cold dessert served in small earthen plate with loads of dry fruits. The richness of dessert is under appreciated Shahi akhrot :- The classic walnut crumble with lots of ghee. Amazing. Simple and straightforward. Highly RecommendedSeb ka shufta :- Ooof another subtle way of showing innovation. Simple yet packs a lot of punch. The flavours blend well and is very much to my liking.

Hi all,Recently had a visit to the shikara hotel which is located at sanpada. The place is really amazing to visit. The best thing about this restaurant is their ambience. Seats on a low level, great live music, the water and the ducks here is just the best part here. Here we tried many a things such as drinks, Panner Al Lababdaar subzi lacha paratha and many all was great in taste.Thank you.
