Today, I tried #Shamsundar misal near Someshwar. It was yumm, spicy and great in quantity and quality! The misal platter has shev, matki, rassa, papad, dahi, toasted pav and a small bottle of water. The toasted pav were really tasty and went very well with the sicy misal.I also had batata vada and tea there. The vada is big in size but I didn’t find it that great compared to the authentic Maharashtrian vada pavs. The tea was very average. Can be avoided.Misal Price with toasted (kadak) pav: 100Tea: Rs. 20Vada Pav: Rs. 40Rating: 4.5/5
Shamsundar has been one of the best Misal places in Nashik for a long long time.So I expected this new branch to justify its reputation and I wasn’t disappointed! The Misal had all the signature flavors for which Shamsundar is famous for and I guess this branch is probably better than the original one. The taste is good. It had that typical Kolhapuri taste in it. The thickness of the rassa was also pretty consistent. There was a right amount of balance between the spicyness and other flavors of the dish.Coming to the comparison with Sadhana, both can’t be compared as Sadhana uses black masala in their Misal, while Shamsundar use traditional Kolhapuri spices. The ambience of this new branch is decent and intriguing. The service is good.
