If you are looking for a pocket friendly quality food. You can come to swagat. Located near the shivaji bus stand, the hotel is mostly crowded. The food served is amazing. You can try dal khichdi, curd rice, south indian food, mastani (dessert) over here. The only issue is how the owner/ manager talks to/ shouts on his staff in front of customers which sometimes bring negativity in the restaurant.

Hotel Swagat, it literally translates to ‘Welcome’, and to be quite honest its the only restaurant near Shivajinagar station which actually looks welcoming. And so, I tried it one late evening. A quick grub is what I had in mind, and I got the perfect answer in MASALA PAV!! It was great! Good presentation was not what I was expecting form here, but the dish was good enough for me to take 4-5 pictures form different angles. The masala bhaji wasnt too spicy, being consistent all over, and in every bite. It was quite a deal for 50 bucks! The interiors of the hotel are not at all fancy, just the basic. Clean tables, comfortable attached chairs. It just has about 4-5 tables in there, but lucky for them they have placed a larger no. of tables outside compared to indoor seatings. The service is average, dont look for any special treatment. Eager to try something else apart form just masala pav, soon I came in here again for a family lunch. Starting off with starters (Duh!!!) we ordered a VEG. CRISPY. This dish, and its over all exprience made me loose quite an amount of faith form this place. It took a great amount of time to reach our tables, and apart form that, noting about Veg. Crispy was crispy. The vegetables were a bit soggy and far away form being crispy. Despite the fact that the taste was not bad, the absence of the crunchiness spoiled the mood. Then an all scale attack on the veg.mains, ordering PANEER TIKKA MASALA and VEG. KHOLAPURI, not to forget butter rotis and naans! Both the punjabi dishes were hefty, and the sober presentation got me a couple of images! Taste wise it was decent, not bad at all. Be it the thick gravy with small cottage slabs floating on it, or the medium spicy veg kholapuri, filled with more vegetables than I could name. A complete punjabi meal was on our table, and the picture.Good service, tasty and highly affordable food, if these three stuff too your to do list, the dont let anything or anyone stop you form trying this nice and decent place, just at the shivajinagar station!P.s- Serving pre packed, sweet and sugar coated mouthfreshners after the meal is a crafty idea!!Happy Burping!!!

How sad that in India the food items charged by Hotels are already 50% high and still these Hoteliers don’t serve quality food to its patrons. We got down at Shivaji Nagar station at 8 pm & were searching for good Hotels around when we spotted this one. We ordered Amul Pav Bhaji & Idli sambar. The PAV served was stale and I seriously doubt if the butter used was of AMUL.

I had shira there. One the most delicious shiras I have ever had. Shame quantity was so small but tastes was delicious. Will visit again. Staff first told shira wasn’t available, when i was moving away they called me back and told me about the availability.

A no frills, good food place. I was really hungry, waiting for my bus. Was very skeptical when I entered this place. Asked the waiter thrice about what was good here and finally ordered paneer butter masala and butter naan.. It was so much better than what I had expected. The paneer was soft and the gravy butter with the right amount of sweetness. Will definitely visit again whenever I’m at the bus stand again.

Just had breakfast today morning at this small but good restaurant located at just a stone’s throw from Shivaji Nagar Railway station in Pune. Our agenda was clear – have tea at Yewle Amrutalaya (situated next to Hotel Swagat)and a quick breakfast anywhere around the area before we proceeded to work. Decent ratings on Zomato help us choose this restaurant over many others in the locality.Breakfast was simple, hearty and absolutely filling. Masala dosa, Mysore Masala and Rava Onion Masala dosa was what we ordered. The quantity was absolutely perfect, so much that even hours after breakfast we are still not hungry! The coconut chutney was fresh and sambar, nice and spicy. It was a wonderful start to the day, something which I would call as complete paisa vasool!
