Came across this old Irani restaurant on JM rd during my stay in Pune a couple of days back. Typically situated on a corner in a building where I guess they have been from start as an old photo frame proved that. Ordered a masala omelette, half fry ( sunny side up ), bun muska and tea. The masala omelette was average, the sunny side up was done good and I guess u can’t go wrong with the bun muska. The Irani ambience brought me back for dinner. They also serve Chinese here which I guess is a necessity for these Irani cafe’s for survival these days. Ordered the Manchow soup, Chicken lollipops and triple Schezwan fried rice. The soup had a little bit more of ginger,the lollipops were fried well and the triple Schezwan was a little bit spicy for my liking. Value for money.

Don’t go on the look of this cafe, this place is old, authentic, infrastructure isn’t that cool, but the food is worth everything, I ordered combination schezwan fried rice & chow mein which was enough for two people, the taste was how Chinese must actually taste plus the schezwan chutney they provide by the side spices enough your food. A pocket friendly,tummy soothing, taste satisfying place to visit.
I have been visiting this place since my college days. The main reason to visit while I was a student, was, it’s pocket friendly! Now I do visit it sometimes for old memories sake :)They serve very good special chaai & bun maska. The Chinese noodles are also good in taste if you like ‘Indian’ version of Chinese food :-)The ambience is same since many years & you get a feel that you have entered 90s period as you enter this place.Not much of ‘family’ going kind of place but most of the time you will see customer base consisting of students/ bachrlors/ groups of old friends catching up etc.The location is big +ve as it is located on main road near Shivaji nagar area , bang opposite to jungli Maharaj & Pataleshwar temple.
Basically this restaurant has so many types of cuisine. This place is very old restaurant. People come here and enjoy bun maska and chai. I went there with my friends. We want Chinese food so we ordered the chicken triple rice, chicken Hong-kong noodles and Chicken chaomin. Soup was tasty and so noodles and rice. Then we ordered chicken kheema.Regarding this place:Ambience: 3/5Staff: 3/5Taste: 4/5Price: 4/5Only problem with this place is they do not accept card payment or any type of online payment. They only accept cash. So make sure you are carrying cash before enter this restaurant.
NCR is the oldest restaurant on JM road . So we ordered Chicken HongKong Noddles , Chicken Chowmen And Chicken Fried Rice . The Taste is Really Good This Restaurant was recommended by one of my friend this restaurant is old but very good in taste and also taste is really good .
