I visited the Royal Connaught Boat Club during my recent trip to Pune for a wedding lunch. The room that was booked for our lunch was big enough to seat nearly 50 people. The starters were served in this room while the lunch was served outdoors.The cuisine for the day was Malwani cuisine. The lamb served in starters was cooked to perfection. Other than that the combination of Appam with the Vegetable Stew in the main course along with Sukka Mutton was quite good. For dessert, we were served caramelised custard and Northern Alaska which was cake with vanilla ice cream topped with hot chocolate sauce.The service was goodas well. The waiters were polite and courteous.Overall, my experience was quite good. It’s a nice place to host a lunch or dinner for close family and friends.
Mediocre food, best to avoid as far better options available all over pune now. For those who would still want to visit, I’d request them to avoid the butter chicken as it is something most horribly done at this place. Avoid methi muttar malai also unless you want to have a sweet dish disguised under a savory dish! Word of advise, this place sucks, so kindly stay away!

Had accompanied my friend who is a member there. The ambience is really good. Riverside breeze and courteous staff makes your day. Food is equally amazing. My only concern is the mosquito menace. The management should do something fot this.
Amazing place the food never disappoints, had rongan gosh, dal, zeera rice, tandoori roti, chicken sizzlers on sticks amazing ambience best service, their staff Noushad is very attentive & courteous. Will always keep coming back again.
The only way to try this place out is if you’re a member or a guest accompanying a member (I assume).I came here the other day for lunch.Chicken malai tikka – not sure if it was malai tikka exactly but this one wasn’t my favourite, still an average dish I would say.Fried mushroom in garlic sauce – these were really good. A must have with a pint of beer.*Chicken sizzler* – absolutely the star of the meal. The chicken was well made and stuffed with chicken mince. So it sort of had two components to it. The sauce was delicious. It came with fries, veggies and a tiny portion of rice. It was big enough for two to share it.#GoForItComing to dessert, we tried the fruit funny and the caramel custard.I’m not much of a fruit funny person but this one was good. Generous portion, too.The caramel custard was surprisingly a miss for me and everyone else, too. It was a little extra eggy and the texture just wasn’t that smooth.But overall it was a pretty good meal and it’s going to be a 4/5 for now.
Had gone for dinner the other night with a friend. The food here has always been nice. We started with sweet corn soup and ceaser salad. Post this we has paneer tikka. We then ordered Thai green curry and rice for main course. Post this we had supreme Alaska and fruit funny for dessert. All the food we had was tasty and the place was cozy.
