Great tasting food (in gargantuan proportions) at pocket friendly prices – notwithstanding the decor. A must-visit restaurant for the real foodies of Pune. Check out my photos for this place on their Google maps reviews – pictures speak a thousand words.One star less than 5 on account of the occasional shower of dry, dusty leaves on you and your food from the tall trees in the compound.Noteworthy features:1) Their open kitchen2) The huge tropical fish aquarium tank at the far end of the restaurant (fantastic distraction for the kids and some peaceful gastronomy for you).

This was that time of the year when some of my friends get together to eat the most famous IFTAAR. This time we chose to also visit Sampan Foods and omg the food there was lajawab if I may say so. We decided to order mughlai paratha and a nonveg platter. From Hara Tikka to tandoori chicken to mutton seekh to malai tikka, everything was so well marinated and cooked. the chutney that they served along was icing on the top. the mughlai paratha with multiple layers was soft, well cooked and so delicious. We had chicken maharaja and phulka in this place. Great taste and i liked the service. Although the place was over crowded, they made sure to give attention to all the customers.Good food and people.
