Quick read: worth a visit; good food; decently priced; good portion size and neat decorAlmost a hidden gem near bund garden which i hadn’t heard of till today; but going by the reviews it seems like quite a famous joint and quite a few tables were occupied tooEfforts put into the decor are nice; a lemongrass room freshener would enhance the asian theme.Chopsticks aren’t offered but surely can be; its just a nice touch which a lot of your clients would appreciate.Service is prompt but very very transactional with zero inputs given by the staff while placing the order; had to actually call for someone to take my order after sitting for a long timeComing to the food; i ordered a wonton soup(chicken), manchurian vegetable and Satay Beef; no mains or rice or noodles ordered and neither were they offered by the waiter. The soup came in first and was nice and they served a substantial portion of it too with 5 wontons inside.. on the downside it was very underseasoned as it tasted like chicken stock. The wontons were lightly filled but the pastry could have been thinner.Next came in a bowl of complimentary pickled vegetables with a red sauce(sweet). Lacked flavor and depth as it seemed like something they made that morningSatay and Manchurian arrived in quick succession and were proactively served onto our plates even though i asked him not to(i like to serve myself)Both were good and the peanut sauce served alongside complimented the flavor of the Satay well. The manchurian balls however didn’t have as much sauce around them and seemed too crispy and drier than they should have been.. the flavors were spot on thoughGreat place to spend a quiet afternoon for lunch as the service isnt too intrusive.
