Service-4.5Ambiance- 4Value for Money-4We went to this place at night around 9pm. It was a rainy day, and surprisingly we were welcomed warmly. The ambiance is much spacious. We chose to sit in a balcony were we can have a look at their big TV screen. Ordered both non veg and veg main course. Veg was comparatively delicious. Service was really good.
Sunday afternoon lunch at Sahil. I had been a very long time ago. Hence had forgotten their speciality.yet decided to give it a try.We stepped in a little early and were the first to enter for the day.Choose to sit on the first floor. It was a decent ambience, much better than my expectation. As we were in a hurry straight away asked for the menu card.Paneer Lajjatdar, Veg Bhuna and Veg Maratha. The usual roti’s. Didn’t go for the starters as their weren’t many options.Service was a little slow, guess coz we stepped in a little too early. The food was finally on the table. Their were always two to three people serving the food and they were very attentive as far as the serving part was considered.Paneer was fresh and soft. Thick gravy, perfect with the spice and taste.Veg Bhuna was not very different from what is usually served at restaurants, the Bhuna balls very a little sticky.Veg Maratha was a mix of vegetables again a thick gravy perfectly balanced with the mix of vegetables.Roti was disappointing as it was too thick and a little to difficult to break. Also it was mostly burnt.Lastly we ordered Veg Biryani. This one was the best out of all the dishes, although I just had a few spoons. Vegetables perfectly chopped and balanced. It was very good indeed.Overall an Ok experience. I can say one of the much better options to be found in this area.
I agree with a few reviewers here. This is not one of the best places to have a dinner or lunch but certainly a good choice in case of urgency. This place has been here for quite a long time now. I was here recently for a family get together and was surprised to see the fine appearance which was not there a few years ago. When it comes to food we ordered regular vegetarian Punjabi food. It was as normal and decent as any other vegetarian restaurants in the city.
A restaurant where one can go in times when no better restaurant than this is possible. Not bad at all but not the best.Tables have newspaper cuttings on them as design. This is sumthing unique about this place.
