I have tried Punjabi dishes as well as Maharashtian dishes and to be very honest the taste was just SUPERB !! Famished, I reached Samindra, Pure vegetarian restaurant which incidentally happens to be in the same compound of my office at 3:45 P.mIt’s a clean and hygienic restaurant with some good seating arrangements. I thought to myself, what else am I going to get in a pure vegetarian restaurant except for Paneer but I was wrong! Samindra offers some ultimate Punjabi and Maharashtrian dishes. I ordered Paneer 65 Punjabi (Gravy), Tandoori Roti, Zeera Rice. Paneer 65 Punjabi – My desi tongue did drool at the sight of this dish, Low on spice yet irresistibly delicious. It is perhaps the first dish that comes to mind when one thinks of Punjabi styled paneer. This was served with Tandoori roti, Zeera rice and it did truly satisfy my palate. Delicious indeed!Also had a cup of Ginger tea (Adrak wali chai) which was awesome. I was told unrefined organic cane sugar is added to the tea which gives it extra sweetness! The food quality is best as compared to other restaurants. I had been there once and now everytime its only Samindra where I eat or take away food at home. Maharashtrian food is best and my favourite is Veg Lahori and Matka Biryani from this restaurant.
The food quality is pretty good and so is the taste. The ambience may not seem very appealing but the compelling prices and good quantity make it worth the money. Nice place for all vegetarians to try out. Location is good too!
I think the quality of the food has dropped down to great extent in past few years.Earlier it was one of my favourite restraunt.The dishes are absolutely mouth watering.It includes the veg platter,panner tikka masala,veg sultani and many more.The matka biryani is absolutely amazing.I personally think that they should concentrate on the quality and quantity of the food very seriously so that it does better in future.
They serve some really great authentic Maharashtrian food.. The Pav Bhaji here is a must try along with some really good Punjabi Dishes.. The food & service quality is very good.. A must try for everyone looking forward to have some tasty vegetarian food!!
