“Nawab Saheb” as the name says itself it is a place for Royal & Luxurious dining. Its located in Renaissance hotel powai on ground floor. The place has its own rich vibe which gives you the great feeling while having your food. When I enter this restaurant there was live music performance of some old Bollywood songs. & the one thing I like most is the popular Bollywood singer Mr. Hariharan was also there with family for dinner. It was surprising. This restaurant provides you all the north indian as well as some mughlai dishes. AmbienceIt’s a big place decorated with beautiful dim lights. Its design like the royal & kings palace seating arrangement. Personal tables, family tables are available. Staff always takes care of cleanness of restaurant. Place looks very beautiful with their amazing decorations ideas. Live music gives you the more appeal while having your dinner. Food & Drinks*Starters*Akbari mugh tikka (4.5/5)Delicious boneless tandoori roasted chicken, marinated in yogurt, saffron, cream cheese. Taste very nice it’s not so spicy but it’s one of their special dishes.Shahi babuli kebab (5/5)It is highly recommended dish from me because if you are spicy lover then this dish will full fill your expectations. It’s a tandoori marinated bone chicken serves in very big pieces of chicken with garnish. Chef yunnus ka panner (3/5)This is for vegetarians. It is a signature dish of this restaurant. You will get tandoor cooked cottage cheese with rasins, saffron and indian spices marinated starter. MocktailsGentle BreezeTropical sunriseFor the dessert you have a self-service. There is many types of indian dessert available you can take whatever you want including, rabdi, rasmalai, kala gulabjamun, malai pedha etc. All the dishes we ordered above are delicious and value for money. I would like to mention here that they also pay careful attention on their presentation of every dish. All the dishes looks very lip-smacking first. Staff members are very polite and gives you the best services. They will help you to choose the best dishes. Over all my experience here was great. Renaissance Hotel Powai is nothing short of royal and beautiful. Simply amazing hospitality and such pretty restaurants. This Infact, was my reason to visit Nawab Saheb for their ongoing Tawa & Tandoor Festival (20th- 28th September) as there are very few restaurants who actually go out of their way to curate special menus like these. Brainchild of Chef Yunus Khan, I think everything on the menu was fantastic. Service was slow as the restaurant was quite packed, being a Friday night. I opted for the vegetarian fare priced at 2800. Frankly, I thought it was value for money only because of the main course. Just their dal makhani and paneer will leave you licking your fingers till the end. Here’s what the spread consisted of and how I felt about it :Vegetarian :1. Til Malai ka Phool (5/5)- Melt in the mouth brocolli with cream cheese. Found the cauliflower okayish.2. Chef Yunus Khan ka Paneer Tikka (10/5)- Star dish! Has to be the best I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended.3. Subz ki Ashraphiya (3/5)- Found it average.4. Bhune Bhutte ke Seekh (5/5)- AMAZING combination of seekh Kebab and babycorn. YUM.5. Kabuki Kebab (3/5)- Found it too dry. Taste wise as well, bland due to Chickpeas.6. Chukunder ke Kebab (4/5)- Beetroot galauti, it was nice.7. Kumbh ke Galawat (5/5)- Wow. Has to be the one thing I’d come back for! Surprisingly it was served on a thepla kind of bread.8. Aloo Atishi (4/5)- Bharwan aloo, classic.Mains :1. Paneer Kaliyan (10/5)- Now that’s what I’m talking about. It’s dishes like these that make you remember these hotels. No one does mains like them. I ALWAYS skip mains but yesterday I was too tempted after a bite and ended up having 3 pieces of bread after such heavy array of starters. MY FAVOURITE FROM YESTERDAY because it was cashew gravy, so creamy, soft paneer chunks and rightly spiced. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.2. Daal Nawab (10/5)- Probably as good as the one I’ve had in Delhi at ITC. Properly slow cooked for 48 hours, perfectly creamy and texture was just right. Not overdone. Yum.3. Subz Biryani – couldn’t dare to try it. Was too full.Desserts : Assorted varietyMotichoor Laddoo, Kaju Katli, Kalakand, Gulab Jamun, Akhroti Halwa, Phirni – all were great but my favourites were the Phirni and Gulab Jamun.Great staff and great hospitality by team. Special thanks to Manager Avanish, steward Shrikant and Chef Rahul Karve.

Nawab Saheb nestled at Renaissance is a beautiful well heeled space oozing royalty with a placid nostalgic vibe adorned with grandeur, ancient paintings on the walls and artifacts + the seating space with the couches wearing maroon with golden prints, indulge in the Royal preps of North Indian and Mughalai cuisine and reminisce your happy moments with the soulful rhymes! The menu is beautifully curated having Ala Carte and Buffet : Set Meals which is served at the table.Initiated by sipping on some wine which was later followed by a set non-vegetarian platter which clutched the following:Akbari Murgh TikkaTandoori roasted chicken in a cardamon, yogurt, saffron & cream cheese marinade, succulent creamy loved smokey essence was yum.Shahi BabuliThe classic tandoori grilled chicken with bone in yogurt red chilli marinade was good.Hussaini SeekhRustic, rich flavour of mutton skewed and charcoal grilled, lovely balance of spices a treat to the palate.Mahi – Al – ShahreenPan seared Sol fish in fresh mint coriander marinade drizzle it with some lemon juice and you are good to go.Shahi Glawat KebabSuaaaaave! Don’t miss on this.Main courseAvadhi MurghChicken cooked on dum in a rich cashew nut gravy with chef’s special ground spices, a nice mild smokey tinge, creamy texture paired the gravy with WARQI PARATHA it was one of the best Iv had in recent times beautifully layered, buttery essense + carrom seeds was super yum.Hyderabadi HaleemYumazing, lentils beautifully cooked with broken wheat + lamb slow cooked and ground to pasty consistency, I’d call it a mash of meat and lentils, comfort food. Loved it + add on top it with some extra caramelised onions.DessertA beautiful spread of Indian sweets and sweetmeats badam barfi, kesar peda, rawa ladoo, moong daal halwa, rasmalai, chomchom, shahi tukda.FaloodaA contemporary twist given to the Rabdi Falooda with vermicelli, fresh fruits, brownie cubes and walnuts, differs to every palate, can either be a hit or a miss.A lovely fare by Chef Yunus & Team.Warm hospitality by the entire team at Nawab Saheb, prompt service by Piyush keep up the good work.
